I am in New Delhi I am inclined towards spanish and portuguese but i have no idea about the future of these languages and someone adviced me to learn chinese or japanese but they are pretty difficult in comparison to other languages . “..good amount of money every month..”
is a V E R Y skewed (even flawed) way to look at main career opportunity!

the one with best scope would be: the language of lies. sad
learn it

You would need to know Chinese.Russian in a decade.. Japanese/Korean wont be of much use then. Even some European languages would be equally useful same as Arabic/Persian..

Always good to know a few languages of important geographical areas… But without knowing Chinese/Russian, you job prospects would be very limited in a decades time. If they dont help you, then no other language would be able to help you and most of us would be too busy hunting for food.

We hired a translator two months ago who could translate Hindi/English to Chinese, paid him Rs. 1500 per day for 8 hours shift of work at a factory to help a few Chinese workers to communicate with local workers at a factory. The whole work lasted for around 20 days.

It was a pain to find someone to take up the work. We were ready to be a bit flexible in terms of amount to be paid per day but couldn’t get someone to take up the work easily.
