Unless your processing power requirements change, macbooks can last really long. It’s worth investing into a new one than to look for refurb ones without assurance as to what you are signing up for.
Do enquire what’s the student discount offer, else get one on Amazon on Flipkart that offers 6k off using HDFC card along with no cost EMI option as well if needed

But with student offer no-cost EMI is not available.
And student + hdfc offer can’t be combined.

If someone is travelling back to India from US or Dubai, that’s only way to get cheapest.
Even after discount you would spend close to 1 L for decent model..
No new m1 are powerful enough. No need to spend 1L. In India, with student discount Air costs @ 83k. You can ask someone to get these from outside at much cheaper prices.
If you are not in urgency then wait for macbook air m1x. It will launch in June (according to leaks). It will have 12 cores CPU 16 cores GPU compare to m1 which have 8‑core Cpu 7‑core GPU. (You will love more GPUs for your graphics hungry tasks 😉)
