Front load Bosch.
Top load LG, Bosch.

If you stay in a rented house and needs to relocate frequently then go for top load, as they are light in weight. If it’s your permanent house and your budget can slightly go above 20K, then go for  front load.

Why do you think buying an inverter motor one is better than normal one?
Any particular reason?

I know how it works , I am just asking about why to chose inverter model over normal one.
That too in washing machines.
If it’s refrigerator or AC then is a benefit in having inverter model.

But remember that incase of any repair the charges are really expensive.

I don’t know for washing machine but for AC they charge around 15-20k for any damage(repair person told me).

Read the article it clearly says why it’s better.
10 years warranty on motor is there. Ac is different things..in ac it’s inverter compressor.

I m also searching for same answer. Shifting outside hometown for the 1st time. No knowledge of washing machine till now.

Will stay in quarters which have hard water of bore. We are 3 people. Me, wife & a kid.
Which 1 should I buy?
Found good review of Onida 6.2kg top load fully automatic in fk at 10k. Isn’t it good deal?

Lg top load are costly around 15k, so not thinking of this option.

IFB front load 6kg, will cost around 18k in bbd.

Water supply is not an issue. Which other factors should take in consideration?

Samsung 6.2kg best in this category.. no competition. Ll cost you nearly 11k on BBD. If you can invest 2k more Samsung active plus 6.2kg.
Top load or front load ? This ll guide you.

Always go for front load for gentle+superior wash quality with minimum water and power
For any reason like space/budget/frequent relocation etc then go for top load
Voltas Beko, LG, Bosch, Samsung are good. Midea also OK

I was using whirlpool automatic washing machine. Once in 1.5 years the board is gone and it costs me 4000 to 5000. So, I stopped using automatic and with semi automatic I am having no issues past 5 years. And also the automatic washing machine will use more water than semi automatic. If you are having water scarcity like me, better to go with semi automatic one.

True. This was confirmed by Bosch Technician. Stay away from Inverter stuff from all brands. Its the best way to make stuff use N throw.

You’re correct ! Moreover many people load the washing machine to its full capacity with max clothes and very less chances of using lesser clothes (lesser load), so practically there is no use for Inverter technology in India (except Refrigerator/AC)

Maintenance charges.
If any issue occurs , there is less to No chance of repairs of the affected part , you have to completely replace and buy the new part.

10-year warranty on the motor. Inverter motors are more durable than conventional motors. Same goes with ac compressor. It causes less vibration so leak of gas is very low compared to normal compressor.
inverter motors can work in variable voltage while normal one can’t.

Yes, inverter motors are costly but it ’ll reduce your bill significantly.

Inverter motors/compressor are completely repairable and repair cost should be the same. Because there are no significant differences in construction.

Without proper knowledge people spreading false information like the inverter model won’t last long it’s non-repairable etc. Because of this inverter model still not used in the mainstream.

Many technicians also unaware of this thing because it’s not widely used yet.

Very soon every appliances ll have only inverter technology.
Once it widely used the cost of both repair and manufacturing ll be significantly less.

If you are too worried you can go with normal ones. Most ac/refrigerator/washing machine gives you a 10year warranty on motor/compressor so I suggest going with inverter only.
If any other part of your appliances fails don’t blame inverter technology for it.

How do people use washing machines? Generally everybody with almost full load. So motor runs with full capacity. Whats the use of varying motor capacity that you get with inverter model? And that too paying extra for the feature that you will not use.

Now for AC , for inverter model , there will be 2 PCBs instead of 1. The outdoor PCB may not be repaired many times. You just have to replace it completely and it costs 10-15K.
Also, not every technician can fix it like they can do for a normal one. So you need company agent only. (not sure about this but read online, many companies some propreitary parts/methods , so only technicians can handle it , and for juts mere visit they can charge good amounts and add to that the high maintanance charges.
Also , the power difference is around 20-25%(saw this figure online). Lets saw your monthly bill that you get juts due to AC is 1000/- then the difference will be 200 or 250/-.
For how many months you use AC that much? 3 months in a year?
So its 600-750/- per year of difference.
You will pay how much extra for inverter AC? 10K .
10k/750 = 13.3 years to recover the difference.

If the number(power consumption difference) is say 30-35% then we can see a bit of use with it ignoring the maintance charges.

But atleast in AC there is a decrease in power consumption , so the difference will depend on the number of hours you operate AC and the temperature you set , your conditions etc.

In washing machines , I really cant see the use of having one and paying extra for it. Definitely not power charge because inverter model too runs on full load for full load of clothes.

Also ,"* Inverter motors/compressor are completely repairable and repair cost should be the same. Because there are no significant differences in construction* " this part is wrong.
I clearly stated above that
1.you cant get cheaper technicians to fix the issue, you have to get company agents only
2.enitre PCB has to replaced for majority of issues.

Correct me where I am wrong , as this is my idea about it.

Why ? Because it uses bldc/dc type of motor. Bldc type of motor can save electricity upto 30% even if it runs at max capacity. Inverter motor mean not only about saving energy it gives you silent, less vibration operations which can give your appliance more life.
Here is a nice article explains very clearly have a read.
https://www.bijlibachao.com/energy-efficiency-a...

Operating at multiple levels of voltage mean stabilizer free operations.(saving of few thousand)

If PCB fails don’t blame inverter compressor.

As I said earlier technician are not trained for it yet. You know how companies hire technician. Once inverter model gets popularity I am sure all companies ll give proper training to these technicians.

From March to aug atleast we run ac where we live. So for us it saves very much electricity bill.since we are talking about saving money inverter ac doesn’t require stabilizer so another saving of few bucks.
Inverter ACS used to cost 10k more than non inverter. Now it’s not the case. The difference is hardly( 3-4k) eg carrier brand ACS.(compared the prices of specific models)
Carrier 1.5 Ton 3 Star Split Inverter AC -35.5k
http://dl.flipkart.com/dl/carrier-1-5-ton-3-sta...

Carrier 1.5 Ton 3 Star Split AC – 32k
http://dl.flipkart.com/dl/carrier-1-5-ton-3-sta...

THE POWER DIFFERENCE can go upto 50%.
https://www.daikin.com/corporate/why_daikin/ben...

I have already told once these things goes mainstream the repair costs ll be significantly less. Brand people hires technician even without proper skills and knowledge. Teaching them about a new technology is another thing.

@jileg

Simba you seem to be mixing two different appliances when applying the inverter motor concept.

Inverter motor in a washing machine adds no additional value, rather, it becomes useless as it is fixed to the drum. I’m pretty sure that belt driven motors can also be manufactured as BLDC however it is not pocket friendly for manufacturers.
