I hold the following cards and have strategised when to use.. All are freecards (more or less)
1. Axis Ace - Mainly use for offline transactions 2% CB. None of the Super premium cards gives 2% CB.
2. DCB - 10X rewards stopped and Smart buy Amazon vouchers are given with 3x benefits. Basic reward rate is 3.3%. For amazon vouchers it's 9.9%. But the thing is i am not a traveller. I usually redeem for Amazon vouchers, which reduces the reward rate to 5%. So not using much, unless there are offers from HDFC bank
3. Apay ICICI - 1% CB and 5% at Amazon.. Hassle free card (no need to go grabdeals, smartbuy etc.,). Only use in Amazon for buying products. Bill payments, depends on specific months offers. If nothing using ACE for 5% CB
4. Amex Gold Charge and Amex MRCC - Monthly 1K points via Wallet loads (Paytm via uber/Zomato). Other than that, Use if there are any lucrative offers. Easy to achieve 24K points for getting the gold collection when you have 2 Amex cards, as both the cards points are combined.
5. Yes First Exclusive - If there are any yes bank offers.
Axis ACE has become the primary card for me, because of the above said reasons. 2L spends in a year is easy to achieve when this is your primary card.
Pay the bill via HDFC Bill pay and get 1% back.
