Thanks for the info bro.
I’m not an extravagant rather frugal guy.
That’s why I’m on Desidime.
My monthly expenditure are hardly 2,000 that too spent on quality food, apart from that there’s literally 0 expense.
Considering 5000 Amazon GV is 8.3% savings + 1200 reward points.
Indeed I’m saving more money by spending 60k🤪

why not Tier 1?

tier 1 is for retirement fund so money is locked for long term.
on the other hand it offers tax breaks.

Tier 2 is for short term so you can withdraw any time.
but it does not offer any tax break and also taxes applicable on any profits on this one.

if someone is trying to complete some kind of target on their CC then it is better to invest in tier 2 at 0.9%+GST charge and then withdraw after some days. if you leave for some time, you can also recover that commission money charged.

But you anyways need a tier 1 account to open a tier 2 account and you need to make at least 1 deposit in tier 2 account each year if you open it..
As we always get spend based offers between diwali and Christmas, I always make my tier 1 contri during this period using my CC..

Can Tier 1 and Tier 2 accounts be opened instantly (atleast by today EOD)?

I think you can open account and add money on the same day for tier 1, verification takes place afterwards and takes a few days..

Iconia offer excludes wallet spends. It is likely that NPS will be classified in similar category so you may not even get the rewards

If you have same address in Bank and aadhar, it takes just few hours.
My account(T1+T2 thru SBI) was active in just 2 hrs time. PRAN kit delivered after 5 days.
