What's the real use for Dinout's Gourmet Passport?

I went and bought timesprime membership around 380rs. to get dinout gourment passport. I thought I could club the 1+1 coupons with dinout’s own restaurant table booking discounts. As it seems I can’t. I read their FAQs but there was no clear answer there for me.

What’s the use of gourmet passport if you are getting like 50% off on total bill for free?

most restaurants wont allow you to club offers. Try looking for deals like complimentary mocktails or welcome drink and u just might be able to club with GP. Officially cc will tell you u cant club dineout deals with GP

The biggest benefit is you get 1+1 on Buffet at 5 star restaurants. I have used at Spectra in Leela Hotel in Delhi NCR – got buffet worth 1800 for free.

Passport also gives good benefits on Food in most restaurants. 1+1 on Food applicable on most of their restaurants – you can’t club with Dineout offer (like 20% off) but you can pay with Dineout Pay and get 20% cashback. I guess restaurants are not bearing the cashback – it is being given by dineout to customers.
