I want to retire early. Is investing in property a right choice or I focus on mutual funds. What is the right age to buy property?

I purchased first property at the age of 29. The second at the age of 37 and the third at the age of 49. The loans for first & second are already paid and the rentals now cover the EMI for the third.

Now thinking of selling off two of them for early retirement.
