It has been hacked fraudster tricked him to get otp . Now one of his contacts number has been also hacked.

Yes but using other’s account without permission is called hacking.
Recently WA changed their OTP policy, read this in article, for safety purposes after 2nd otp there is gap of 4-5 hrs(?) and after that around 12 hrs(?).., so these fraudsters exhaust these otps

There should not be any problem in getting otp. Perhaps he has already requested too many otps, so whatsapp not sending any more otp for time period.
So keep trying every 1/2 hour or 1 hour.
Meanwhile start whatsapp from secondary number and send a warning message to your relatives.
He wont be having access to all your contacts. Only Groups will be available to him, and broadcast list you had made. Just warn them only.
Whatsapp doesn’t store contacts… It just reads your phonebook…
Apart from that the fraudster can’t read any msg as well, as said above by someone…
The only way fraud got your friends contacts is through whatsapp groups…
you should be able to login on your device once again after a brief interval of time or just try logging on a different device. Unless the fraud changed the number in whatsapp.

Actually this is what happened my friend received a whats app from his old friend and they start chatting. During the chat his friend share some link and ask to verify it.My friend verified or shared six digits code then he realised his account has been hacked. By night he some known calls my friend and ask is there any problem because on chat fraudster asked for money. My friend panics and un installs whats app and try to re install it but he didn’t receive otp.
In morning he ask his friend with whom he was chatting about the incident but he got to know that even his whats app account is hacked.

OP started with, as If some one hacked his friend Whatsapp on fly (as if his friend is President of some country, remember the hacker needs some benefit to hack. He can as well hack bigger guys, if it is that simple).
And then slowly reveals the truth that some link and then OTP exchange.
Dimers started guessing what ever the way they want, and then giving gyan to OP.

Some people think they know everything in world and no fraud or hacking is going in India. They don’t read newspaper or listen to news were every day its reported. If someone is in trouble they don’t help for them these issues are itself fraud so thank you to those who helped and thanks to those who cannot help and criticise.

If some dimmer’s don’t believe this is hacking of whats app account they can call this whatever they want to call it. The fact is they don’t have solution for this problem so if they don’t want to comment its fine. They are not contributing anything to solve the problem. They are unnecessarily commenting and increasing number of comments in the thread. Due to this anyone who can help may not comment.
Please I want solution and don’t want to prove anyone wrong.
