WhatsApp video call - let others hear audio from background app

During a WhatsApp video call, I want the other person to be able to listen to the audio being played in another background app (Tanpura for the curious). Currently the other person can hear only the WhatsApp conversations. So I have to resort to using two phones to achieve this, one phone for WhatsApp and the other phone that plays the app.
Anyone has any ideas?

You cannot achieve this…
Calls in whatsapp//any calling/dialer apps use the microphone to receive input and the speakers (earphone or loud-speaker) for output audio from other party on call. Unless whatsapp(or others calling apps for that matter) allows earphone&speakers permission(××when themselves are using the hardware××) nothing of the sort you want can be achieved!!
