And did u get 40% cb? As that was offered by jcb, not rupay. Also, I didn't see any of rupay network directly in singapore. All pos machines were accepting jcb.

In ur bank statement, does it anywhere shows amount in foreign currency? If yes, then the forex conversion did happen through jcb.

Hey just now i asked another person. He also told me -

"Yes. I checked . It is true that SBI RuPay JCB Platinum Debit Card did not charge any forex markup charges on the spends done. However BOB HP RuPay JCB CC was charged 3.5%+GST as forex mark up fee".

@Ramta_Jogi by the way he also receive 40% Cashback offer spend on UAE.

@abhishek012

Only RuPay's native global network dnt charge any forex markup fees because transaction will settled in Indian rupees

But JCB/Discover/Diners club/Pulse network transaction settled in foreign currency and bank will charge forex markup fees.

Can u share statement screenshot showing date of transaction, foreign currency amount and INR charged?

For me, it is not listed as a separate line item, forex is included in transaction amount itself. Say I i did 1 SGD transaction and Google rate on that day was 62. So, in statement it will come as 64.17 including 3.5% forex (actually it was slightly lesser, as conversion rate was better than Google). There is no separate line item for forex. But 18% GST on this 2.17 forex i.e. 0.39rs is mentioned separately in bill.

My guess is u didn't see it, as they already included it in transaction amount. If u try back calculating then u will realise the charges. Also, is there no gst entry also in statement?

BTW, mine was BOB HPCL JCB Rupay credit card.

So maybe credit cards are using JCB network (Japan Credit Bureau) while debit cards are using Rupay network (NPCI) and hence debit cards are not charging any markup fee.

There was no markup fee added to the transaction. The purchase value fx rate was close to google rates.

I had to experiment this as in one of the original/old/previous Rupay posts, @abhishek012 mentioned Rupay not charging any markup fee

I meant 0.2 paise difference. No entry of added forex anywhere in statement. No cb on debit card

Cashback offers was available only on selected countries and you need to complaint with banks otherwise 99% chance you will not get cashback.

Cashback offer also valid on RuPay JCB debit card. Already one person got cashback on SBI RuPay JCB debit card after complaint.

RuPay's native network is available only on very few selected countries and selected POS machines.

100% your card use on JCB network.
