Using OGeneral 2T Window AC for almost 6~7yrs with no issues what so ever (Voltas worked well for around 8yrs then bought Hitachi and sold it just in an year), for Split AC I prefer Daikin
OGeneral window ac, little high noise of fan,no illuminated remote keys, no display on the AC unit. Just super cooling. 5years and going.
Hitachi should continue their good work with Earth movers not AC.
We have two carrier and Samsung both going good

O'General & Daikin 3-5 star is best for long term usage.
Mitsubishi or O General. Don't go for. Voltas, Hitachi, LG, Samsung or any other brand , they maybe cheaper earlier but require lot of expenses later. Also but from a good dealer and don't give in to their salesmanship, they try to push what fetches higher margins
NEVER Go For VOLTAS
LG, O General, Napolean Are Best. I am a Service Technician.

Go for the brand which has better after sale service in your area.

Any suggestions for daikin 1.5 ton split AC?
Using Panasonic 5 star, 1.5 ton for 4 years, no problem so far.
I would recommend Split rather than Window for lot more efficient cooling, noise, vibration and look of it. I have 4 units of Hitachi which has never been any much of problem for 5+ years. Daikin could be considered as well. Fujitsu General (not called O General as so many mistake the logo for an 'O' 😄) is good but too expensive and lacks new tech and features. Korean brands are alright and nothing much to say on the rest.

Someone is trying to advertise LG here. Worst custmer care and products in india. With tactic like mentioning very expensive and scarcely available mitsubishi ogeneral first, so 3rd option is more affordable LG
For Windows go for Microsoft 
Not sure why everyone here seems to not like Hitachi but I have had the best experience with them. They are cheap upfront, 1ton 4 star was 31k, 1.5 ton 4 star was 37k. Both inverter. Got from Flipkart. We got both about 4 years ago. Since then they have been working without any issues. One issue was after the 1 year warranty, one of the AC’s PCB failed due to high voltage in our area. The service person replaced it for free even though it was 1 month after the warranty expired. Best service experience I have had with them. They used to call themself and come for the free services for the first 1 year. After that I have been cleaning them myself.
My previous experience with Samsung, LG, O general was much worse. Paid 50k for the O general 1.5 ton non inverter 3 star. Evaporator failed in 2.5 years and technician asked 30k for replacement. We just sold it instead of repairing it and got the Hitachi. Samsung also has good customer care and cheap to repair as well but had multiple condenser leaks in the 7 years that we had it. Lg is a bit more durable but has worse customer care.

Agree.. Other good one are Ogeneral & Daikin. Windows are bit noisy plus very few models with Inverter technology. Windows always make a irritating sould while starting/shutdown of compresssor. I would preffer Split only with Inverter technology. Agar AC me confortable sleep na mile to kya faida.. Bhai one can easily do the basic servicing by self just wash outer grill with water pipe making a bit pressure flow holding thumb at the the edge (better keep the flow direction a bit vertical) dont worry compressor chamber is concealed reasonable good. Then take out front filter and wash them under running tap plus take a soft brush (old tooth brush) and carefully clean the iron grill in the indoor unit behind the filter, u can use water with mild soap also avaoid near pcb chamber. Just cleaning the dust filtet after 15-20 days of usage make a lot of difference... All the best
Go with either Carrier or LG or Ogenearal. Never purchase Hitachi window AC, their PCB is low quality built and easily gets damaged after 2-3 years.
