Better to eat Desi Ghee (homemade) rather than packaged ones as none of the retail sold ones will be 100% pure and companies add additives like Vegetable oil/Dalda and other similar stuff for profiteering.

Cow Ghee is more nutritious and better. Buy ghee of good brand and that is manufactured where there are only Desi cows. Like the cows with a hump (Gir cows)…so prefer ghee from Gujarat, Rajasthan or other places where they get it from desi cows. Not from mumbai or delhi where u get to see jersey cows , such ghee isnt good.

A2 ghee doesn’t make sense. Ghee ideally does not contain casein or if it is there its in very miniscule amounts. Casein is the stuff which differentiates A1 or A2 in milk.
Even A1 or A2 milk is still debated whether it actually has any benefit or not as there is no conclusive evidence. But taking it to Ghee is just next level of marketing in my opinion.

I find Mother Dairy Cow Ghee which is normally available on Amazon for my location, best in taste and texture. Usually is < 400 /ltr with cashbacks and offers. Another good and cheap cow ghee is D-Mart’s own Premia brand. It is not as good as mother dairy in texture(usually its more liquid at room temperature) but Aroma is good and is also usually < 400. Fresho Ghee from BigBasket is also good but usually expensive.
Avoid Grofer’s own brand ghee. I tried all the variants (mother’s choice and farm fresh), mostly its crap.

Amul milk or any other brand as so, they are offering milk from A1 cow. Now let’s understand here a basic thing. A1 cow comes from outside India, A2 cow is Indian breed and should be preferred. So doesn’t matter if you take milk and then convert it to ghee or take ghee directly from those brands both would be from A1 cow. Anyone selling A2 milk or ghee from A2 cow will mention it separately and would cost more definitely.

Mayapur cow ghee is the best.. it’s not available in online.. (some people started selling with this nam, but those are not the authentic ones) generally we buy it when we visit the temple or ask friends to bring it whenever they go..
Costs 750 around.. the purest ghee ever I tasted.. if you taste it once, you can’t use these online brands.
You can google about the temple..

Ghee must be of A2 cow (Gir, Sahiwal, Tharparkar, etc) or otherwise buffalos.
And it should be made using the traditional bilona technique i.e. from the curd of pure milk, not from the cream.
In the market, they play with names like Pure Cow Ghee but no use if it’s not desi cow, or Pure Desi Cow Ghee but no use if it makes using cream.
A2 milk Ghee made using curd/bilona will be cost around 1500 to 3000 depending on the cow/buffalo breed.

Buffalo ghee has good taste and also helps in gaining weight but it doesn’t have much of nutritional value compared to cow ghee. Cow ghee has lots of nutritional value and also helps to reduce weight. In a nutshell cow ghee is better than buffalo ghee in terms of health.
If you want to purchase cow ghee online within:
₹500 to ₹600 Gowardhan ghee (best in class)
₹450 to ₹500 amul ghee, mother dairy and Nestle
₹400 to ₹450 Ananda gopaljee ghee (best cheapest ghee)
These are personally verified. If you want buffalo ghee. Vedaka buffalo ghee is also available in Amazon
I would recommend go with desi cow ghee. Better if you get it from local farmers or local dairy so that it must be more authentic compare to buying ghee pockets from shops.
If you wont get it from local farmers then Buy it from below link. Personally I used it and recommending. I cost is comparatively high due authentic one.

Nandini cow ghee is only available in Karnataka but its really good. Nearly indistinguishable from home-made ghee( prepared from Nandini milk itself). Priced at Rs 470/L.
