A tiny piece of alum (fit-curry) in warm or cold water.
When I used this formulation, I realized that all commercial mouthwash are scams.
All my family members use this only.
Alum is best disinfectant for mouth/skin/nails.
My sis got rid of fungal infection of nails washing with hot water+Alum when none of medicine worked.
Oh really! They use that thing, fitkari in them cheap saloons which i always despised, mostly because they use the same piece for everybody other than the product itself. Mum said it’s a great disinfectant, but didn’t bother myself, kept using after shave lotions for years and now i have darkish cheek. So the thing works for oral stuffs too huh, hmm might consider it.
I don’t think mouth wash are scams by any stretch of imagination, especially the alcohol based ones, but if desi/ ancient old methods work better then new ones I’m all in for it.
Alcoholic mouthwash dries up your mouth and can lead to cancer.
Just use a little salt and few drops of lemon in a glass of lukewarm water, take in your mouth, rinse well and throw out.
Don’t know about gums but most definitely yes for throat, especially for folks like me who has tonsil. Definitely alcohol based! Good old Listerine. I do it once a fortnight or something though. For regular usage nothing beats lukewarm water and salt combo.
