which one to prefer between Oximeter and spo2 monitoring fitness band?

Can you provide a link for a good oximeter?
Imo Oximeter will give proper results… I am using Intex oxiscan pulse oximeter…
For fitness bands check this too https://www.desidime.com/discussions/suggestion...
Oxymeter. It should also be a lot less expensive normally.
Not able to find good company oximeter at a reasonable price
OXIMETER
Get an Oximeter
Measuring oxygen saturation via wrist was never meant to produce consistent accurate results. On top of it.. you got to follow a lot of things to get close to accurate results (Wearing the band/watch very tight + it should be idle position
I guess even with oximeter, some fingers (right/left) will give inaccurate results. Like Middle Finger (Right) is most accurate or even Right Thumb (If you’ve right handed and vice versa)
I’m only aware of Dr.Trust ones.. during BBD I got one for parents @ ~1200
Tldr- Fitness Band
Okay so 2 days back I bought this oximeter of Microtek, yes the same company that makes batteries, at ₹1500. This is not a well known brand and maybe they are just using this surge in demand to come in new product line.
And I already have a Honor Band 5 and it’s reading is similar to that of oximeter and it also has sleep monitoring that works surprisingly well and fitness tracker step counter all works fine.
So if you can get oximeter at 600-800 then it’s fine but anything around 1500, fitness band from honor or MI might be a better option if you are the primary user of oximeter.
Bhai you may have tested the pulse ox and smart band on yourself or some other healthy individual.
Before claiming that both provide similar readings, it is important to test these on a person with low oxygen saturation, say somewhere between 60 to 80%
Most definitely oximeter. I made the mistake of going for the smart band route, it’s just fancy stuffs. However, when covid will be over, that oximeter will collect dust while the band will be still used regularly. But the virus may over one’s life and keeping that in mind go for the dedicated product. Inaccurate measurement is worse than no measurement.
Traditional Oximeter. It does what it is meant to do, and is more accurate in measuring oxygen saturation compared to fitness bands
