Guys...I m using Lenovo IdeaPad S145 laptop (4GB RAM)... it's very slow but it is expandable up to 12 GB
1. Where can I buy a 8gb RAM at comparatively cheap cost??
2. Can I install it myself ?
3. Will it work fine and fast after installing RAM??

SSD is highly recommended as it boosts app opening time, windows bootup and installation.

If you have tens of Chrome tabs always open, upgrade your RAM along with SSD.

I upgraded my 7th gen i3 laptop to SSD, pretty satisfied with performance but Chrome and Win 11 eats up 8GB memory with 15-20 tabs open.

RAM and SSD prices are all time lower, so buy it asap from trusted Amazon seller.

More than ram, an ssd upgrade will help.

When buying RAM, make sure it has the same CL(Cass latency) as your other ram. You can check that by installing CPU-Z

Amazon or rather buy from offline reputed shops.

1. Check Amazon and compare prices with Primeabgb, ITdepot, MDComputers & Vedant

2. Yes, u can (Finding the right screw driver is the only complicated part - Check YT videos for disassembly of same/similar laptops to get somne idea)

3. 4GB is too low for a laptop running W10. One reason for slow performance is using up all the available RAM and the other could be the storage. So, alongside RAM also upgrade storage from HDD to SSD (2.5" /m.2) if you haven't done already (If you're still unsatisfied with the performance post RAM & Storage upgrades then its because of dual-core i3 8th gen chip)
