Yep, it’s good. 397 will give you 300 days validity if you have a 2nd sim for calls and data.

Very subjective.
I have Jio and BSNL

BSNL may be economical but no 4G, non existent customer care..tons of confusing plans(never understood why they keep tons of plan..why can’t they simply it)

For mobile coverage and call quality is important. Which varies location to location for all operators

Primary: Jio as out of 10 places I found it good at 7.5. Airtel 4 out of 10. BSNL/Vi 3/4 out of 10. There is circle specific approach by Airtel and Vi. Vi is too good in Haryana but average in Punjab but still usuable.

Jio always scores more as no website gives problem with their data. Airtel/Vi both have lag issues and there is no MIMO applied by them in efficient way. With Jio my downloads and surfing works very well. I mean if download is going on it never slows down surfing but with Airtel/Vi multiple tasking doesn’t go well. Surfing slows down downloading and vice-versa. BSNL is single tasker and if downloading no site will open.

Moral of the story- The one that works well at your home and workplace is best for you. Jiska tower pass hai wohi operator khaas hai.

1 big drawback with Airtel is that you can’t call non tollfree customer care numbers for some reason without paying extra even with unlimited calling plans expressionless

Why every customer is forced to buy data even when he needs only sms, at times we don’t need data at all it goes waste

Using Jio, Airtel and Vi. Ditched BSNL because of no network in many places inside the city and low speeds. BSNL would be better for coverage along with JIO once you leave the cities.

Vi has excellent speeds in most of the places because of low number of users. Coverage is lesser than JIO or Airtel. Night unlimited and data rollover is awesome.

JIO has the best coverage everywhere, but data speeds are unusable in a few places.

Airtel is bad. Crappy data speeds in most places, battery drain because of unstable network and no coverage in a few places.

There is no one single network that is best all over India. Differs from place to place.
I use Airtel, Jio, VI and BSNL.
Voice : Airtel>Jio>Vi>BSNL
Data : Vi>Jio>Airtel>BSNL
But BSNL works at places where nothing else seems to work.
For a dual SIM user, personally, better option would be Jio for Voice and Vi for data (Vi has stand alone data plans that does not need any base plan to work and allow pay per call outgoing)

It’s area specific. There is no best network in India. A network may work great in one place, and completely fall apart in another. You need to ask local people regarding the same. Over time there’s a consensus as to which network works better in a certain area.

In my location (Kolkata and adjacent) Jio has best connectivity overall for data, followed by airtel and Voda. In terms of speed they all suck big time but probably Jio is the most dependant one, not sure. In terms of calling, both Airtel and Voda are better than Jio, due the capability of falling back to 2G.

No comments about BSNL. Had mum’s no. ported to them a week back. Had no expectation in respect of data speed but I see that their 3G speed is in the range of 0.50 mbps and 2.20 mbps, whilst the H+ disappearing entirely from time to time. The network also fluctuating immensely, staying on 1 or 2 bar most times. Absolutely ridiculous in this day and age.

BSNL user since 2012, Cheaper plans better coverage and speeds in my area.
Doesn’t work properly during travel, trains and all but Jio has the upper hand while traveling.

Just Skip airtel and Vi. Jio is good overall but BSNL Needs your support !

Switching all my 8 family member sims to BSNL 4G. 1MBPS average speed in my area.

Second position is a tie between BSNL n Airtel.

Seems people moving towards BSNL increasingly. Soon I hope BSNL will be the main competetor for Jio.

Reason may be to get rid of monthly payments. Won’t loose connection easily in BSNL even without recharge. It also uses main balance to auto debit like 2 for 4 days validity. BSNL has tons of plans n offers festive spl plans regularly.
