Firstly Different states cherish on different oils as per availability due to seed produce in there state like groundnut for rajasthan , mustard in north , coconut in south etc. .
Rotationally using oils if available everywhere can also be considered. But will be good to use oils of seeds which your state grows because it has environmental thing attached to it which will be beneficial to your body.

And Do Remember advertising and publicity of Olive Oil thru varied ways is a BIG HOAX.

I fully agree as regards mustard and coconut oil. Olive oil is not good for Indian style cooking where we heat up -it loses its property. I cannot stand mustard oil and so, I always prefer coconut oil. There are lobbies who falsely propagate that coconut oil results in cholesterol but those are proved to be wrong.

only cold pressed oil of any seeds like groundnut, sunflower seed, mustard, coconut
or grass fed unsalted butter and ghee
Do not buy anything that has added vitamins or anything else
Olive oil in India is fake and is made from oil extracted olives by chemically processing them

I would say 300 is good price for wood pressed cooking oils. We are using these oils from last 5 years and we can feel some difference.

we can reuse these wooden pressed oils up to 3 times where regular oil packets only one time usable.

My parent are using wooden pressured saff flower oil and we are using wooden pressed groundnut oil.

All oil is bad for you…all oil has triglycerides… including ghee…ghee also has colesterol…but our body need some minimum amount of fat for its defferent functions.

So what can u do ??
1) use less oil and don’t eat much oily food
2)but we have to use some oil for cooking so you can use defferent types of oil like mustard oil, coconut oil, soyabean oil and ghee or butter etc.
Use these oil for month then switch to another one…means use different oils after short period of time like after one month.

All Non-refined oils are really good.. using it moderately is more good enough.
Oil from regional crops is perfect for their climatic conditions.

Cold pressed naturally extracted eatable cooking oils are best. Any form of “refined” oil use chemicals for extraction and are therefore harmful for the body.
Virgin olive oil (not Pumice, it is the worst possible type), Cold pressed Sesame oil, Cold pressed (Kacchi Ghani) Mustard oil and cold pressed coconut oil are good.

My paternal and maternal grandparents lived healthily till their mid 80-early 90s by consuming mustard oil all their lives.
Doesn’t matter if you buy local mustard oil or some fancy super expensive olive oil from spain/italy… if you eat in moderation and exercise then that’s all it matters.

Refined, rice bran, canola oil all are not good and are famous only because of misleading advertising.

The best oil to cook with are Mustard/Sunflower/Coconut/Sesame oil or Ghee anyone according to your taste and preference and one which suites the cuisine in your region smile

Cold pressed one is preferably better though these are anyways better than other synthetic oil mentioned above

Oil is one of the basic requirement in diet. As for anything, over indulgence is bad. So keep oil consumption in control. pleic and linoleic fatty acids are considered good for health, so people look for oil which are rich in them. Oils having too much linoleic are unstable and can go rancid but oleic is more stable. So oil with about 60-70% oleic and about 10-15% linoleic are good. Saturated fats should be less than 10%. Olive oil, canola and safflower are good examples. Some cases like safflower can be high oleic or linoleic, so depends on line. Canola is traditionally use to have erucic acod, but now lines are available with zero erucic acid, so it is picking up. Indian safflower is very good, but farmers are preferring other crops which are high yielding. Linseed is also a good oil.
There is also question of how oil is extracted. To me extraction without chemical is fine. Saturated fats always give better result for deep frying, for example french fries or namkeens. But these are personal choices, for example coconut oil is saturated and many people will not change this choice.
Be careful, a lot of false or old information is there, you have to choose carefully.

whatever seeds are cultivated in the local regions, that is good for health. Seeds should be cold pressed and should be unrefined.
Groundnuts and Safflower and Sesame seeds are grown heavily here and we consume the same. Coconut oil also depending on availability.
Cold pressed and Unrefined are always better.

This is true. Use any oil which is cold pressed in front of you. Many such ads about cold pressed oils are not true and only marketing stunts to fool people like Organic Food sold online which we do not know for real.

Recently, in US, one of such organic food store was found importing food from China which was not organically grown even though the label had small imprints with a disclaimer!

So, get the oil cold pressed in front of you and don’t fall for any ads. There is a trend for Canola Oil which originates from Canada and grown out of GMO seeds which are total poison and causes massive health issues on continuous usage which is seen in US Pandemic today. If possible use Cow Ghee for cooking and keep Oil usage to least. Remember, even water can be used as an alternate to oil for cooking in many cases that is never shown in any cooking show in India too which are funded by Evil Oil and Food Companies where the Anchor keeps repeating how poison oil is good as they are paid to lie!!!

What is the conclusion of all this discussion?
In one word or sentence

Deal Newbie Deal Newbie

1) Don’t ever use Refined oil..it’s like slow poison
2)Best oil is the one grown in your region / state.
3) for deep frying use oil that has high flash point Ex mustard oil.
4) to get maximum benefits switch between 2-3 diffrent oils every 2 months or so.
5) moderation and exercise is the key word…if you eat too much oil even if it’s healthy oil, then no one can save you. So “eat less eat healthy”.

No cooking oil is good for health… It is the most caloric dense and one of the most nutritionally void item.

Edit: but if you must consume them in moderation then go for cold pressed, filtered and organic quality of oil.
