Which wall paint is good for interior (room/kitchen) walls

If there is terrace, open to nature above or another floor/residence… one has to first establish the source.

in older constructions (and we personally faced this issue) there was no apparent source , but the rebars (reinforcing bars/ ‘sariya’) started showing up at places (ceiling).
Had to get three different agencies involved (structural engineer/ civil works , contractor and then those waterproofing or others).
Thankfully in that property, simple removal of old plaster an use of waterproofing compound with new plaster was enough (leak or xeiling cave in was hardly two squarefeet but about 5-6 Sq Feet got redone)

In another property, load bearing walls on the exterior constantly had moldy moisture and seepage issue for 4 years despite hotchpotch waterproofing.

Then finally someone opened the exterior face of the plaster or may be it was hard scrubbing.
Realised that the wall was not propwrly joined to the beam part.
That minor issie at the time of construction left a pathway for water to find its way in.
Had it done properly on the outside and inside.
Where needed, instead of cement plaster.. that chemical mix was used as is used behind bathroom wall tiles.

P.S.: not advertising Asian Paints, i do not even remember which of the two is for external surfaces and which was used in bedrooms.

@desiman Merely applying putty or ANY OTHER COSMETIC cover-up will make the moisture/ water find another way out.
