Who Are Boycotting China Products ?
No one.

Chinese products are my last option. And I’m like this since pre-2014.

Just because of their quality and if more money goes to China, it gives their govt more power for human rights abuses in Tibet and other provinces. Which I don’t really like. Today it is Tibet, someday it could be someone known to you.

A few years ago (not sure about now), Nike factories in China used to employ Chinese govt slaves – Uighyurs I think. What sad state of affairs.

Personally i have shifted a lot and made a lot of people shift from Chinese products for heavy ticket items like mobile phones as similar phones are available from other brands in the same price range..But there are lot many other products where its not easy to boycott as alternatives for these products are costly.

No matter how much you try, China is the future, soon their companies will be outstanding Japanese and Korean brands, no one can compete with China, not even US, they have very crazy economy.

disagree..
there is no fixed future for any country..
itz upto the leadership of the country and then most importantly each and every citizen of a country to decide that..

Boycotting just in words.. very very very few only following/boycotting it.
They made everything essential and cheaper even though its bad in quality. We are habituated to use and throw culture from the day we started using their product.

Its 7ooo battery is equivalent to 4500 of MI phones’.
Hats off to you!

I am personally trying and avoiding Chinese products where Indian products are available but I have been doing this always….. I support Indian products and Indian companies…..

For eg. I use Vicco toothpaste instead of Colgate, Medimix soap instead of Dove.

Though they are made in India, these brands are own by foreign companies hence I prefer using Indian products which are equivalent to the foreign counterparts…..

I don’t boycott chinese goods. I even bought Poco M2 Pro last week.

But that doesn’t mean I am not reducing my purchases of chinese goods going forward after they started killing our soldiers and are trying to occupy Indian states.

I already reject anything Chinese for high priced items for several years now because of their low quality.

@Birla.Veena
Look around, I bet there is atleast one product in which something is from that country.
India cannot ban that country’s product, we are not the US. Oh and btw most of those routers are also made in that country.

I am not boycotting completely but if non Chinese alternative is available I am buying that even if it costs slightly more.
Country of Origin is now among points I consider before making a purchase. Something I would not consider 6-7 months back.
Purchased a Samsung Phone after years for my relative. if months back default choice would have been Mi or Realme.
But I know lot of people in my society who have completely stopped buying Chinese product.

everybody has to do their bit……. today bought nippo battery, old time brand manufactured in gujarat factory……. duracell batteries leak like crazy when i complained to them they messaged immediately and when they came to know buyer is from India they stopped replying…..

so better trust Indian brand when options are available…..

It would have been great if people channel their efforts in electing good leaders who concentrate on education and health.

i buy non-chinese product whenever possible for last many years. Even am ready to pay more if non-chines alternate avaiable. I think for last couple of years i have not bought a single chinese item for me and my family.
just think that what will happen when China will be more powerful than what it is currently.
If we save few money now by buying Chines items, we will have give more money on tax because Govt will need to spend more on defence.
other thing is, our manufaturing capability (whatever we have) will be lost.
China is the country which cannot be friendly to any other country.

Some time it is very difficult to find alternate (like in toys) but normal people can find alternate easily in phone, TV etc

Nowadays I also choose Make In India products while shopping online or in stores. My most recent purchase was Smitch WiFi Smart power strip and toys made in India. Chinese products is the worst case option when similar product is not made in India by any company. One common example is spare parts of older electric or electronic items like laptop batteries, mixer-grinder spare parts etc. Unfortunately no company manufactures the parts anymore since all they want to do is sell new stuff and encourage trashing of old stuff and create more waste. You can easily get such replacement parts from China.

We Indians have formed the habit of buying readymade and use and throw products.
Formed Habit of Looking for CHEAP products irrespective of thinking how durable the product is.
Indians companies or any other country wants more than 100% margin on cost price of there products which is the most insane things still continued and this makes country like China to seep in .
Even the local manufacturer wants multiple % of returns in just one go. This mentality has to be rectified.
Be it anything mobile , accessories , decorative items etc etc etc.
Even the Repair shops , mechanics ,artisans , need to think about it , as there high charges repell public to repair or get it made from them.

At times in fact almost many times the cost of repair is more thsn the cost of new product.

You have touched upon a very basic issue of Indian markets.
But we must figure out why Indian businesses are risking their customer-base and their reputation for higher margins.

The root cause of this problem is illegal money-extortion by members of govt/administration.
And Indian govt will never address this problem.
So, Indians will always pay more and will not be able to get quality/durable products.

Talk to any businessman in your neighbourhood to validate my point.

Boycotting? That’s continuous tense. I always boycotted anything which is piece of crap. And Chinese products are just that. I mean ew, how do people touch them even god knows! If there’s a quality Chinese company I’ll use that, like Lenovo for laptops. I could care less about all these BS sentiment post corona.
