I can’t use my sbi rupay debit card for online transaction, I also found that other banks rupay debit card also can’t use for transaction, if any one can tell why or any trick to use, it is beneficial in some applications like mobikwik where we buy got Cashback from Internet banking (I have net banking on same account)
First go on your bank’s website and activate the card.

And payment through debit card are different things. So , don’t mix them..
Regarding using the debit card, u need a payment gateway which allows u to use rupay logo cards,
If not so, u can’t use it.
Normally u see master card and visa logo cards r accepted with most of the payment gateways.

RuPay card sucks .. Even though it shd b prefrd my us as its indian gateway ..
But none supports it.. Not even mobikwik,paytm ..
Freecharge supports it
Me also never avail to the same. 
Billdesk gateway support it, and its CVV called by different name (forgot it).

I have loaded money in mobi and paytm wallet using RuPay dc.
U may check the new update , its specifically made to use RuPay Debit Cards.
I havent got a single problem using them since 3-4 months. .
Paytm accept it on browser only
