why does flipkart use 3rd party payment gateways?

Just bought something off flipkart and the payment notification was from RazorPay.
Earlier, their mobile recharge etc was through phonePe, but now it goes to mobilink.
Why are they not using their in house solution (phonePe which is probably now a spin-off) for their payment solutions? Amazon uses their own, why not flipkart?

i think best ecommerce sites always have multiple payment gateways (inhouse/several thirdparty payment gateways) to make checkout process hastle free.
Now AI is plugged into the system so that gateway is automatically chosen to avoid payment failures when there is huge demand during sales..

its always better to have multiple payment gateway..single is not enough and what if one broke down.. do u remember what happen to Phonepe app when Yes Bank was down.
