Why doesn't HDFC Bank Credit don't report the Credit Limit in CIBIL?
HDFC Bank reports your Highest Credit Limit Which you have spent as your Credit Limit in CIBIL.
This Tends to Reduce your CIBIL Score if you have only 1 HDFC Credit Card and according to Better CIBIL Score you must maintain your Credit Utilisation Ration within 30%.
Generally,All Banks Reports this!

Not a hdfc guy but i hold the right credentials to answer this question, every bank/nbfc use credit report and by report I mean the entire report your score, credit mix, issuers enquires repayment behavior every thing is considered. Now coming to hdfc, they hold the advantage of the biggest account holder which are potential customers for a customer(high MAB) a lot of decision making depends on which other lender is involved and having how much exposure, by rule of the law they are bound to say that x is holding their card but if they tell x is holding y limit they will give the joker in open, earlier amex was not reporting as well but after ban they are doing as well

I bought an iPhone around 30th amd few other things. Exhausted entire 1 lac limit. It's a bit risky as you can go overlimit so do you math. Cancelled those items and phone around 2nd and voila. Entire limit visible.

I have gone till nodal officer level on this issue. The only statement got right from basic executive to nodal officer is as per hdfc policy, we won't report credit limit to cibil. The only reason they throw is it's standard sop of hdfc and they have all the rights on whether reporting or not reporting. Left case!

Looks Like Hdfc Hired Bankers Who Helps Company Growth Properly..
Reporting = Losing Customers.
No Report = Active Customers.

I just found this out about HDFC Bank credit cards and it's disappointing. I will have to use its maximum limit on some purchase e.g. international air ticket or high-end laptop some day for full limit to be known to credit bureaus.

In my case, hdfc reported both outstanding and credit limit as same although 25% of limit is still available to use, is it not most astonishing?

I don’t think you’ll find a answer here. Only HDFC knows 😕
