Increase range from 15 % to 40 % . What loot is this . They do not live any situation to loot customers.

Raw materials prices shoot up in last few months. They pushed this price hike of raw materials to consumers by hiking prices of detergents & stuff to protect their margin. Another fact, HUL usually don't reduce their product prices once they increase it.
Although, I am also unhappy with product price hike but I am little bit happier too cause I hold HUL shares xD

Question 2] Is 'swadeshi' just a fad, or has any real merit to it?
Even a bottled water plant in our country is not set up with foreign technology or foreign machines.
So .. what exactly is swadeshi.
If fake, misleading marketing is done or if some celebrity promoter or marketeer promotes something as swadeshi: then it is swadeshi?
When most, if not all, of the profits remain in India: then it is swadeshi?

Loot is going on in the name of corona. Literally every packaged good has increased prices in the last year too. The eatable category hurts the most. Now you truly feel like you're eating junk and wasting money.
I was shocked at seeing Tide selling at over 100rs per kg. This is a brand which shouldn't be selling at anything over 50rs per kg in India.
Surf excel, Ariel have made it a habit to increase by 20-40% as well every year or less. I had stocked up like 30-40kgs+ of Surf Excel Easy Wash and top load powder/liquid detergents when prices were way lower during loots a couple of years ago (like 70-80rs for regular Surf) and we still have that stock thankfully.
Prices of all essential commodities have gone up due to sharp inflationary trend of the economy. No point in discussing specific reasons for price increase of detergents.
It is an indicator of country's present economic condition.
Means what

(Not to discuss price rise of anything? Even of normal restaurant or mess charges or how they reduce the portion sizes)
Leave Washing Machine Powder, even normal detergent powders are more than 80 per kg.
Modern science means painkiller , steroids , bimari ko daba de dena uska ilaz jad se nahi karna .etc.
Friends I suggest you to buy liquid detergent too many companies are available with good results
