Actress Dia Mirza, who is known for her association with social causes, took out the time from her post wedding schedule to give a massive shout out to the woman priest, who conducted her wedding ceremony.

One such features Sheela Atta, the priestess who conducted the wedding ceremony. In a tweet on Wednesday afternoon, Dia Mirza packed a must-read message in her thank you note for Sheela Atta: “Thank you, Sheela Atta, for conducting our wedding ceremony. So proud that together we can rise up,” Dia tweeted along with this hashtag: “#GenerationEquality.”

Not a big follower of film star lives but it’s uncommon in my region for a woman priest to conduct a wedding – pleasant surprise. Does this happen in your area/region?

Wah re noob media.. these guys made “atta” also part of the priestess name which actually means “Mother-in-law” smile
Could be an actual family relation or generic designation out of love

No one forcing you to go traditional. But calling them burden is lack of knowledge on your part.

Sorry I don’t agree. Today these priests are nothing more than tape recorders.
If the couple divorces in few years then priestess has no responsibility at all, she is simply a mechanical thing with no wisdom.
Originally a wise person used to be responsible and was invited to grace the marriage and give blessings. Today it’s purely based on money. These celebs marry for money and hire a priestess for money (& popularity in this case).
Even if the priestess is wise (highly unlikely) and sees that the marriage won’t work , can she say so ? So her role is nothing more than a dumb showpiece stuck_out_tongue

Right ! It’s just rich peoples games.
Probably Sahil didn’t have enough money to keep Dia happy so Dia told him ’Ab Na RHTDM ’ . And this ultra rich Rekhi guy like all rich men want to bed as many beautiful women as possible

Now what kind of priest/priestess will grace such union. So called holy hindu priests must have refused so they hired a priestess stuck_out_tongue

Try to find positives in little things. It’s damn easy to be sarcastic & mock everything – that’s the trend these days in social media…

People are living their lives. You have some problem with that?

I already stated in the original post that seeing a woman priest is a positive sight for me as it’s not common in my area.
Anyways the remark was in general rather just being about the post.

What makes you assume it is ‘highly unlikely’ that priestess is wise – is it just because she is not a man ?

Ha ha real development, a priest in 2021 and people are focusing on the gender. I mean… good luck.
