i think cibil wont be affected as you paid your due in 90 day of the due date passing.

Won't ICICI Bank Help me ? :(
Hi Dimers,
Hope you guys are doing well.
So last month somehow i short paid 5500rs in my Icici cc statement. The total due amt was 34.5k (I made txns amounting to 14xxx,5.5k and 9.5k approx) don't know how the remaining 5.5k was missed from my end (still can't get over this thing). I've made more than 200 payments on several portals but never ever defaulted any single payment and now they've levied 2025rs (including 18% GST) in my current statement.
I was about to pay my current Icici due and when i checked my statement i got to know this yesterday and post my calculation got to know the entire scenario.
I called up their cc today and explained what exactly happened and told my relationship with Icici as well which was pretty much evident (Having 6 digit credit limit and maintaining them is a tough job but this time i failed miserably to pay the entire amount) but the rep as well their manager was like per their policy really can't do anything. If this was around 500 bucks i wouldn't even have called them and wasted MY time but still i did not get any positive response.
Have they already reported this to CIBIL? Will it drop in the coming months?
9th December was the due date to settle my dues for this month and i've paid everything except the interest and gst charged by them as of now.
Once again, i'll visit my Icici branch tomorrow and request the manager to do something post that if nothing happens will pay it out and learn my lesson. The more the cards you owe the more the stress you have....
Good old days are vanishing where you only had one thing in mind - ENJOY your life but now you need to take care of your fam, yourself, your job, your boss and your LIFE too...
Has any dimer had any good experience with their customer care for cc bill payments? Or is there any other way out as well?
Please let me know
TIA folks.

Try talking with your relationship manager. He may have solution for this. You have the option to talk with relationship manager in imobile app in me section.

I doubt as I paid all my LazyPay dues on time but they reported it wrongly to CIBIL that there was delay of 28 days.
CIBIL affected by 100+ points.
Not to scare OP but my case was of NBFC, yours is of CC so there maybe some difference

CIBIL won't have any effect..
Don't burn your blood for 2K... Track your spends and payments properly in future... This is the very reason I make payments on all my CC in one go at the start of month. Things are easy that way .
Check with RM/ CC department and ask for card closure .(anyways ICICI don't offer much benefit ) and hopefully they might agree to reverse the charge else close .
Leave this and moved ahead.. bank will not going to refund it. Personal experience with axis, one card.. they will tell they can't do anything.. system does not allowing them..

Also, can't 'outstanding' as on a previous date (yesterday: w.r.t. the date of calling/e-mailing) be told to the Cx by the Customer Service Department?
.
Or the card companies too have as s|─|¡tty CSD as Jio dot com does?
- Did you Pay back them (5,500Rs) within 3 days of the Due Date? If No, then Legally you can't do anything
- If you paid, say after 15 days then they will levy the charges because I guess that's what their TRUE Credit Card Business is, Bank will earn more when people forget their bill payment and the bank will impose their charges because NPA (Defaulters are not going to pay them so, it's their loss in some cases but if a person has a good CIBIL and earning ability like you and me they will surely make hefty of charges ...
- If you paid within 15 days, According to your Relationship with Banks and Financial History (CIBIL ), they should give you Flexibility to a certain extent.
- I have seen some of the dimers who got there money back (those charges) with kind of relationships that they had with the bank

So there is a legal remedy to getting the reimbursement or reversal of even such penalties, if accounts settled within 72 hours.. by the credit taker?

The number of 'days past due' and late payment charges shall, however, be computed from the payment due date mentioned in the credit card statement, as specified under the regulatory instructions on ‘Prudential norms on Income Recognition, Asset Classification and Provisioning pertaining to Advances’ amended from time to time. Penal interest, late payment charges and other related charges shall be levied only on the outstanding amount after the due date and not on the total amount. So there is a legal remedy to getting the reimbursement or reversal of even such penalties, if accounts settled within 72 hours.. by the credit taker?

2. Right now, i only have those interest and gst pending which needs to be cleared.
3. No, i haven't.
4. I'll visit my branch tomorrow and talk it out if they can help me in this case.
@rohan8397 suggested to directly talk to them via imobile chat but It shows please visit your nearest branch for your servicing needs
Write an email to grievance officer about your scenario. In my case axis bank refunded late fee after writing to grievance officer.
This is scary. It has happened with me too. For me in place of ICICI, it was Amex.
Ur ruining credit score i think pay asap n settle with them later

😉😉
I recently had such case with HSBC and I had forgotten to pay 5k from total due amount. They charged approx 6k as financial charges including GST. Requested thm to waive the charges off, they reversed the charges excluding GST.

This shall be more helpful to many! (If they were unaware like I was).

@DealBahar check this.
Someone got their money back, even from Urinary Tract Infection bank.
May be you too could have cured the UTI by approaching up the escalation matrix,
or asking them to close the account... with the reason.. non reversal of these charges.. even as a one time exception.

This (___ karte raho, aabadi ki chinta mat karo) is probably how we are in the population explosion mess😔.. to begin with.
Bruh If CC bill is paid in parts via several portals/gateways,one should check total due amount on due date to be on the safe side.Setting reminders help a lot.Didn't Cred notify you about the same ?
As @shraaj has already mentioned credit card issuers can report an account as “past due” to credit information agencies or levy any penalty only if the credit card account remains “past due” for over 3 days.I hope it will be resolved soon.

Translation: All what you said is fine. And is accepted also.
But now, what (if any) are the possible solutions or options. Telliyega aap kripaya
Best solution would be to use cred.they keep track of all credit card and dues even if u pay from some other app as soon as card account credit sms received cred keeps track of the amount paid and there is an option to minus that amount from bill.
It won't hurt your CIBIL .
Asuming you had already paid minimum amount due before the due date.

That's a tip to ensure that such things don't happen in the future.
Unfortunately not much can be done about that if 3 days grace period is over.I am not very optimistic but talking to RM or Grievance officer can help and they can reimburse as a goodwill gesture. There is no harm in trying!
I use Khatabook to keep track of bill paid. First as soon as statement is generated, I will enter total amount as RECEIVED in Khatabook.
Then whenever I pay at various places IMMEDIATELY, I enter as GIVEN in Khatabook.
To keep track of credit card bill paid reflected or not, I use Google KEEP NOTES.
Heading contains: CREDIT CARD NAME
First line contains: CURRENT BALANCE,
Second line contains: EXACT BILL PAID separated by Comma.
Once any of the paid amount updated in credit card delete that in second line and update balance in first line.
NOTE: Pay different amounts to keep track easily.
Example, To get cashback you might be required to pay minimum 1000rs for 3 times. Just pay 1001rs, 1002rs, 1003rs like that.

That's a very unique way of doing things. 🙂🐒🐒
Simple trick i used.. I have created dedicated emailid for cred purpose and to this email id i enabled auto forwarding of all bank and credit card card related transaction and statement emails.
Hope this helps someone who is worried of sharing too much data
