I purchased 4600 ajio gift card using amazon pay wallet upi.
transaction failed but money got deducted on oct 1.
wohoo does not show failed transaction history.
when i am asking for refund in twitter they are saying no such transaction exist.

This is Amazon wallet UPI payment, no linked with bank. 😀

In amazon pay balance upi transaction, if it fails or success(both the ends) then it's okay. But transaction is successful and merchant doesn't receive money then you are in such a mess.

For me, the particular transaction was not showing in transaction history. I called them and asked where did my balance go. They were also shocked and transferred called to another department, they took notes and said soon you will receive another call then I got the balance back in gift balance not original money balance.
I tried explaining them with credit card payment, all sorts of bullshit answers they gave. Then from next call asked where is my balance.

woohoo said that they have issue the refund on last week thursday, but it is not credit in amazon yet.
amazon customer care is saying the money is stuck with bank and they have raised a ticket with bank.

If this doesn't get resolved quickly enough you can try contacting Rail Madad on Twitter or it's website. I was in a similar situation almost 3 years ago only difference being it was the apathetic SBI instead of Amazon. Contacted RM 2.5 years later and within a couple of weeks or maybe less they processed the refunds.

Of course I didn't sit idle. After 6 months or so of back and forth yielded no results I had planned to lodge a complaint with the consumer court but COVID struck soon after. After it had waned somewhat I renewed my efforts as visiting the court was still not an option. Fortunately the Railway Minister of the time was more sympathetic and soon after RM resolved the issue. I did receive decent compensation for my troubles in the end.

I have similar situation where money got deducted from Amazon UPI but not credited to reciving end via billdesk. Billdesk has shared ARN number of refund transaction but Amazon is saying since there's a UPI reference number showing in payment history of the transaction, it's a proof that payment was successful as it is generated at recieving end only. When I told billdesk has shared the ARN number, they said we can't check anything with that. They asked me to get full transaction details from billdesk for the transaction date, I said why will any company share this private info he disconnected the call.
I filed a complaint on amazon on consumer complaint, lets wait for amazon grievance officer to reply.
