I am looking for your advice.
This month out of nowhere a new entry has appeared in my CIBIL.
It is a loan from INDIAN BANK, that was taken in 2002 and has not been paid off. It has been tagged in my CIBIL as Guarantor.
While raising a dispute in CIBIL website, it says that they will not be able to remove the entry and it should be the reporting institute which should make a request to CIBIL to remove it. I still went through and raised a dispute.
I never had a bank in INDIAN BANK and have never given any guarantee to anyone.
I am planning to go to near by Indian Bank to make a request.
Can you please advise if anything else can help to remove this entry?

I think physical visit to bank will be a waste of time.
Just drop a mail to bank customer care as well PNO. Don't forget to send a reminder after few days even if they reply. ( it will help you later)
If they resolve the issue in 30 days of email, Great! If not just Raise your issue at RBI Ombudsman, you might get some compensationas well.

Allahabad bank merged into Indian Bank.
How to generate CIBIL report? At CIBIL site, it is a paid service.
