Considering the amount of filler, replays and pace of matches, television suits them better IMO.

WWE is set to transfer its media rights in India from Sony to Netflix after March 2025. Back in 2020, Sony renewed its rights to WWE content for an estimated $180-210 million over five years. Sony was eager to retain television rights despite WWE’s global deal with Netflix.
WWE programming has been a mainstay on Ten Sports in India since 2002. SPNI acquired Ten Sports from Zee Entertainment in 2016 for $385 million, rebranding it as Sony Ten. WWE's collaboration with Ten Sports and Sony Sports has spanned over two decades.
With the end of a 20+ years TV partnership, WWE will no longer be available on cable TV channels, moving instead to a mobile streaming platform. This change could significantly impact many viewers, especially younger viewers who don't have smartphones or streaming subscriptions like Netflix, and currently watch WWE on Sony TV channels.
