I also thought of using it on b’day at night but was aware of such dispute so did all transactions in the morning. and got 10%

Most of the banks do the same. It’s because all the transactions are processed (rewards and cashbacks mostly)  during night by a job that run on their database. If you do your transaction between 12 and 3 am it will most probably be considered as done the previous day. On a safer side, if you want any rewards to be claimed on that particular day, kindly do the transaction after 6 am.

Even for AMEX, transactions before 2am are considered as done in the previous day. It will vary from bank to bank and from time to time.

Don’t worry bro! Just share all the necessary proofs with RBL credit card team and they will rectify it manually from the backend. As mentioned by other dimers, do not transact at night after 12 am especially when there is any cashback offer. Always prefer to transact after 9 am for cashback offers. For instant discount offers, you can transact on or just after 12 am as discounts will be applied instantly before payment. Also get in touch with Zomato customer care.

I did 3 txn between 12:07 AM and 12:15 AM. One transaction they posted in previous date. Other two got 10%.

It’s a task bro. It happened with me at SBI Credit card. Inspite of all proofs including transaction email screenshot with time AND transaction sms time AND SBI Card app showing proper date when “in process” state…
But all they will do is check statement.
It’s all waste.
Executive bounded by company rules have to act blind I guess.
Don’t waste much of your time.

They blocked my card… Zomato classic CC is un reliable on birthdays

Same happened with me, did a transaction at 12:51 AM.

They flagged it as transaction done on previous day and credited 1.5% cashback.

Fought with them and got the remainder 8.5% cashback successfully
