HUGE BUG

@admin @anthrax.ut I am suddenly receiving deal alerts for threads that were last bumped months years ago! My inbox is getting flooded; received 30+ alerts within the last 5 minutes!

Please stop the faulty job trigger before it brings down the entire website or my mailbox. By the way, as you probably know already, the deal alerts have been broken for at least a couple of weeks (no instant alerts and no alerts at all on some days).

Edit at 10:35am: No respite yet. 60+ alerts received so far in ~15 minutes. This is the status of my inbox:

Edit at 11:01am: 140+ alerts so far and still coming!! Is any DD developer online?!

That’s previous days’ Channel Alerts . There was some technical issues .

@admin My leaderboard data seems to be stuck at 7625 (Positive Feedback Received) for the last few days, perhaps since the last deployment. But I have received many “positive feedback” during this period. Not sure if the data for other leaderboard categories is also not getting updated. Please investigate and fix the issue.

Bug / General Observation

@admin Seems like the thread lock icon that you re-enabled recently has again gotten disabled/lost. This makes me wonder if you guys have proper source control policies and deployment workflows in place. Please use this thread lock icon issue as a marker, investigate, and put systems in place to make sure such things don’t keep repeating on every new deployment.

@admin @anthrax.ut FYI, not receiving email notifications for tags/quotes, even though the same are enabled in my Notification settings.

Bug: Unable to unfollow a thread.

When I click on the unfollow button, nothing changes. Platform: Desktop website via Firefox on a Windows 7 PC.

@admin @anthrax.ut @MJ911 Some bug in the chat feature is causing each message to be sent (or appear?) 4 times! And even the chat timeline is messed up.

@admin @MJ911 Can you please get this highly annoying bug fixed promptly or disable the new chat feature for me immediately! Today, many dimers complained of receiving the same message from me 16 times! The messages are even appearing 16 times in my chat box for these people. CC @Magus @aswaniexpress @vishala4 @goss8877

@admin @MJ911 Seems like some update was rolled out today. Now, many usernames, which were fully visible until yesterday, are also appearing shortened. Not only is it bad to not be able to see the full username next to a post from the user experience perspective, but it is also bad for users like me who prefer to copy-paste usernames for tagging quickly and correctly. Please fix this unintentional bug at the earliest.

Recently introduced bug

On the desktop site (not sure about other platforms), when you edit a post, the system is removing the postID URL parameter causing the user to be redirected to the “top” of the page rather than the edited post. I think this was working fine until yesterday.

By the way, thank you for quickly taking care of the previous bug.

Ok, now that you have mentioned that. Let me point out another place where that happens — the channel alert emails. Both the alert sender’s and receiver’s old usernames are displayed.

Bug

The chat service is down. I am not seeing any of my existing conversations. Instead, the chat page shows me a list of “top dimers” to chat with.

Please resolve the issue. Moreover, can you please tell us the criteria based on which the dynamic list of “top dimers” is determined/displayed on the chat page?
