Need Suggestions - Which phone will be better for my father

Never used a moto g4 nor e3 power but from what I perceive it’s better avoid miui phones purely because of the heavy customisation.

I think e3 power is a good choice, one of the major advantage I see is that it does not have a metal body design which makes it lot more convenient to handle especially for elders. If it were for some youngster I would have recommended to look at other alternatives such as RN3/K6 power/redmi 3s etc.

For general users I always suggest to go with a company that has better service. Samsung/LG etc will serve you better.

Recently, I bought a Infocus M680 for a relative for the same purpose and it’s good but again can’t say about after sales.

On5 Pro on Amazon – 7990 – is also an option

As for your query, just like the Nexus series phones, Motorola phones use stock/ pure android so the user interface feels friendlier with a good built. Redmi phones are a good option when it comes to built and features within a good budget as well. The comparatively good models like the Redmi Note Prime and Redmi 3S series are out of stock due to popular demand. If you raise your budget to Rs 9000, you can add 3 more good phones into your list of choices:

1) Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus 3GB RAM version for Rs 8499 with 3 GB RAM, 32 GB internal memory, 13 mp camera with 1080p video recording and Android 5.1.

2) Moto G4 Play for Rs 8999, which as @gdeal mentioned has a Rs 1000 cashback in Amazon Pay Balance offer running with 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal memory, 8 mp camera with 720p video recording and Android 6.0.

The Moto E3 Power for Rs 7999 is a Flipkart Exclusive. I feel is a good choice for your father since it has a good battery and features and parents generally don’t look for a biggest size or use the latest features as much as youngsters do. However the Android 7.0 update is not yet announced for the Moto E series, so if you plan to opt for the Moto G4 Play an added advantage is that you will get the Android 7.0 update.
