URGENT - Guys i need suggestion - Please check post
Hey friends i just bought Redmi Note 3 (32gb) from flipkart and it will be gonna delivered to me today but my some friends and parents are saying that dont go for xiaomi brand as there devices are not trustable and problem may occur any time.
So please advice me any other brand phone is 10-12K bugdet or do i accept delivery of Redmi note 3 ??

I have used it for 6 months, no major issues

Yeah the materials used in the device arent of topmost quality but you wont be facing any problem for at least 2 years

Your family and relatives are wrong.
Xiaomi is trusted brand and better then Samsung.
Samsung is selling crap phones at high prices, same specs in samsung you will get at very high price, that too some features will still be missing.
Using it from 9months ( maybe a week more to complete it ) and it’s quite durable miui isn’t the most stable but you will get used to it . Go for it anyday better than crappy Samsung phones .
You parents are right in after sales service cause their service suck but brought atleast 7 Rn3 phones for friends when launched & non had an issue until now .
went for Redmi 1s service then only realised about their after sales .
Moto g4 is also a good phone for the price processor is little lower than RN but better camera
I too have RN3 not even single issue till now one things is camera is not up to the mark rest is EXCELLENT, even if go with RN3 u won’t regret it later….
redmi 2 is still working fine even for me

Yet to launch. Very similar to Rn3, but you get the trust of Lenovo (If that’s what you want.)

.As far as l have heard Lenovo is the even more pathetic than xiaomi in after sales service . And not to forget the moto brand is being spoilt by them
I wish huawei enters India in a big way . Some of their phones are good and when China saturates they would have no option but to get into India .

Ordered 2 Redmi Note 3s and 6 Redmi 3s for friends.
Used Redmi Note 4G and using Redmi 3s Prime now.

In this country you will rarely find a company that cares for it’s customers. When laws don’t protect it’s citizens against frauds then fraudsters run amok. I have seen people running after service centres for months whether it’s HTC or Sony.

Redmi is nice but what happens is there is at least 1 problematic device from 100

Nice phone using since 2 months . Heating issue is a bit problem for me
redmi, levono both same policy sell and forget. redmi good at software updates….happy for mui. I do not compare samsung with these brands. If you can afford samsung or ipnone do not go for china make brands. your family is correct. if you are buying first smart phone go for samsung. even though 1gb ram phone is good enough…… @stupedous Man@ is correct….people like goats go with crazy.. attracts with less price high specs … irrespective of it’s needful. It would have been happy if we knew your requirements of phone along with your budget.

@vaibhavjain93 Congrats! I agree that the phone is a great choice within that price range, and I also agree that listening to parents gets you far in life. I suggest you take good care of the phone now, because if anything happens to the phone, you know they will be the first ones to say “I told you so”. Redmi Note 3 is good, Dont compare Samsung with Redmi as Samsung is brand oriented and Xiaomi is spec oriented.
If you want brand name and show off to others => Samsung or iphone
If you want good spec => XIaomi or LeTV mobiles or Oneplus

Snapdragon 820 based mobile phone from Letv is 18k (lemax2) but from samsung means, it 50k ++ even without Type c USB.
now you understand the thing, samsung spend more on Advertisement.
LetV giving even 1 year subscribtion and they’re giving more services with their product as addon.
Tell this world you’re not a Brandholic, but i am sure within 2 or 3 years, LeTV and Xiaomi develop like samsung or apple.
.. may be ONLY IF they Offer High Quality Hardware & After Sales Service (by High Quality, I didn’t mean Latest but one that build to LAST)
