Wow tourism day to start with the topic i’ll like to tell i used to be a quiz geek and 10 years down the lane i won state tourism quiz till national round there we lost at tie breaker.

Now about my experience with adventures in travelling i almost unfurl most of South India Especially Kerla where i stayed for 4 long years during my graduation and i must say truly it’s GOD’S Own country such a beautiful place among all trips happened there Munnar trip was the best chilled weather hill top filled with adventure sports a guy can’t ask more.

I missed my goa trip with friend as unfortunately i was skick during that so In the GO-to List
GOA STANDS in 1st spot next i would like to Vist North east portion as many of my friends here have suggested and asked to come visit there place.

About international destination

Definitely once in this life i’d like to visit LAS VEGAS [Not to mention “What happens there, will stay there.”]
Burj Khalifa,Sydney Opera House,Eiffel Tower,Christ the Redeemer,Great Wall of China,NIAGARA FALLS.Sydney Opera House

cities like Los Angeles,Florence,New York City,Paris,San Francisco,Miami beach

Other than these commonly infamous places i would like to see few South Asian places to-find my inner chi stuck_out_tongue laughing

It might seem shocking but after watching the so heavenly beautiful girls once in my life at least i wanna visit Pakistan though as a country’s action i Strongly don’t like them but man if i come back alive no bigger adventure than that can happen to me lol sunglasses : sunglasses:

Quite a crazy ambitious list you go there toungueout nice cool

My friend went once via NH1 from Jammu towards lahore.. he said the bus had to turn back because of firing near the border apparently.
Seen on various channels about Lahore’s beautiful tulip gardens though.. spreading beauty amongst all the hatred smile

I had chances to go south side but when I was younger had other priorities, during family vacations would say college, classes, initernships, courses, yeh woh so when whole family goes out of town I have the home all to myself wink cool

I have quite a few stories of Goa, some crazy, some very crazy, and some surprising sober, but still lost, will share a few soon enough once others share too biggrin

Agra land of karizma, I got enigmatic feeling when i saw the tall white marble architect marvel the Taj Mahal. Unique and quiet and yamuna river flowing next to it. If you cloae your eyes and go back in time to 15 th century and just feel the moment wow its like mini heaven on earth. I saw taj on full moon light which is more enigmatic than anything , I love to c as much as i can.

Apart from small tips made during college days..i made my first international trip last year to Thailand. I spent good 10 days there enjoying exotic Beaches and vibrant city of Bangkok. The icing on the cake was this trip was totally a loot. I got ticket to Thailand in only 1600 Rs although the airline was Air-asia still 1600 is too cheap for a international flight. Also I booked flights from Phuket to Bangkok in around 600-700 Rs again very cheap. Paytm was too generous in providing cashback on hotels there. So overall a trip to remember as it was a very cheap one. Apart from that in IDFC diwali loot i got 10000 cashback so the trip was primarily sponsered by that only.

Haven’t been able to find such cheap tickets and such great cashback offer till date. Looking forward to visit there again this time for more than 15 days.. sunglasses

I was going to Mussoorie with my family. Our two train tickets were not confirmed. My mother and my brother got a seat from a newly married couple. After giving his one of the berth, the couple were lying on the same berth on top of each other. They were having fun with each other like seeing, talking, looking and laughing each other. When the food serving boy came, they took two dinner plates. But eating in a single plate. In the plate they had roti, dal, chawal, salad, pickle, dahi, gulab jamun. The interesting thing was they were eating dinner in a romantic way. A single bite of roti is eaten by two of them, in such a way, one side of the roti is eaten by hubby and the other side of the roti is eaten by wife. And when the roti is about to finish they kiss each other. And when wife had eaten dahi, some part of the dahi was left on the lips of wife, her hubby licked that dahi with his tongue. And then they started smiling by looking each other. And they were eating gulab jamun in a very sweet way, wife had taken gulab jamun in her mouth, then her hubby kissed her and the gulab jamun from her mouth comes to his mouth. And this process continued viceversa. Then at night they slept. In the morning, train reached mussoorie. After taking some breakfast and rest, we all went to mall road for shopping. Again we saw that couple, they were spending quality of time with each other by holding hands of each other, taking selfies, enjoying icecream, laughing and shopping. In mussoorie, there were so many newly wedded couples who came for their honeymoon. From that day, I have decided when I would get married I would definitely go to mussoorie again with my better half.

I am talking about my travel experience of Jaisalmer, a golden desert town in India, close to the border. Although Jaisalmer is a nice city, there is not a lot to see and it is quite small. It is the desert where you are really coming for! After seeing the Maharaja of Jaisalmer in a colorful parade, we arranged ourselves a two day tour through the desert.

Cooking in the Thar Desert The next day, my friend and I set of with three camels and a guide to explore the Thar desert of Rajasthan. We both got to ride our own camel and from its high back, you have a good view. The Thar desert is not like the Sahara and endless ocean of sand dunes. Sure it is sandy and dusty but there is also quite some vegetation. During the morning, we crossed little desert villages with houses made from clay and we saw beautiful desert landscapes while eagles were circling high in the sky. When it got too hot in the afternoon we relaxed in the shade under some trees. Our guide made a small fire and cookedlunch

I was looking around me and saw our camels eating the leaves of a tree a little further away. A few goats were doing the same but the most peculiar animals I saw in this dusty desert were the bright colored peacocks. Somehow, they did not really fit into the picture but there they were. And there were many.

When the sun came closer to the horizon and the temperature was bearable again, we hopped on our camels to ride to some sand dunes where we would spend the night. Now there is a term in photography which is called ‘the golden hour’ and this is the hour before the sun sets (or after it rises). During this hour the rays of the sun consist only warm colors and the shadow are long which make landscapes even more beautiful. Right during this golden hour we arrived at the sand dunes and what we saw was truly breathtaking. We watched the sunset from the dunes and soon after, the sky was filled with stars. The light of our campfire attracted some desert people who came on their camels…..

….We slept outside under the stars and I remember I wanted enjoy that night as long as possible because everything was so perfect. When we woke up the next day in the soft morning light, the temperature was nice and cool. Everywhere around me, I saw small traces in the sand from probably lizards. We had breakfast and sweet tea and when our camels were awake again and packed, we continued our journey again. We enjoyed the desert some more that day and eventually we drove back to Jaisalmer, one great experience richer.  Here’s my pic at Jaisalmer Fort.https://cdn0.desidime.com/attachments/photos/532006/original/IMG20180416142515.jpg?1538067300

Somehow missed this thread but here is my long list of experiences over a span of 12 months. Not for the sake of contest but for the sake of recalling and sharing the lovely time I had.

November 2016 the month in which I got married to a wonderful person and started our life together. Having got married at a very late age I knew the burdens of being a family man would soon take over my life so me and my wife decided to travel on one vacation each month for the first year of marriage and it went this way.

November 2016 – Honeymoon road trip to Chandigarh, Dalhousie, Khajjiar, Dharamshala, McLeodganj, Bir Billing, Shimla, Kufri and Mussorie.
December 2016 – Same as above and then to Tirupati in end of December
January 2017 – Dindi (Andhra Pradesh). One heck of a place, do check if you are unaware of it.
February 2017 – Bangalore
March 2017 – Mahabaleshwar
April 2017 – Anaikatti
May 2017 – Munnar
June 2017 – Bangalore with cousins
July 2017 – Leh
August 2017 – Goa
September 2017 – thanks to our sad schedule we had to miss out on a trip this month
October 2017 – Kodaikanal
November 2017 – Bali for our anniversary

The best experiences were our honeymoon trip, Leh and Bali but if I had to pick just one it’s undoubtedly our honeymoon trip.

Route followed:
Hyderabad to Chandigarh via Mumbai layover
Chandigarh to Dalhousie and stay in Dalhousie with day trip to Khajjiar
Dalhousie to Dharamshala with stay in Dharamshala and day trips to McLeodganj and Bir Billing
Dharamshala to Kufri with day trips to Shimla
Kufri to Mussoorie
Mussoorie to Chandigarh
Chandigarh to Hyderabad and back home.

First ever self driven road trip together in the hills of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand for a span of 15 days. Have rented a Honda Amaze from ZoomCar and have driven it all alone for 1600+. Have experienced all kinds of foods, all kinds of climates and driven on all kinds of terrains literally. There were many instances of wrong routes all thanks to terrible GPS/google maps but one that I can never forget is the dangerous road from Dharamshala to McLeodganj which was hardly able to accommodate even a single car, had an inclination of more than 45 degree and had vehicles coming in opposite direction at times. If that wasn’t enough I had to drive on that road in the night.

The best moment was the stays we availed and the paragliding experience at Bir Billing. All thanks to being a honeymoon couple we got complimentary room upgrades in 2 locations even without us asking for it biggrin

At Dalhousie we stayed at J K Clark’s exotica, booked an executive room but got a suite room upgrade.
At J W Marriott – walnut groove, in Mussoorie, we booked an executive non-valley facing room (the basic one). But once I was there I went to the reception to request for a valley facing room and I am willing to shell out the price difference but they surprised me by saying our room was already upgraded to a junior suite that was bloody amazing. The room costs around 27k per night if booked directly.

By the time we reached Mussoorie my wife was so damn exhausted that we didn’t even move out of the resort, not once! We just stayed and spent our time in the resort so it was worth availing a good property in the last destination of our trip.

Worst part – two of the car’s tyres were punctured but luckily we were just few kilo meters away from the zoomcar drop off point where we stopped for lunch. We found a mechanic to fix the tyres and then dropped the car back.

My best tour was picnic with my family in holiday in nearby hills that place is so good. I have enjoyed so much with my family. Any good place feels like heaven with family and nature. We should go one day in a month in that place for entertainment.
I want to visit Coorg, Karnataka
and others famous places but can’t afford only for tour with family. If best deal available thenI should visit.
Thanks sir for creating this thread .
