0.75% discount on fuel transactions - Query

Well I use a rupay prepaid card for fuel transactions . but do not get 0.75% on fuel normally
yesterday I used my Mastercard (another prepaid wallet card) and got 0.75% on my bill amount .
how this works ?
is it specific to a fuel pump / POS machine they use / card we use / oil company ?
yesterday I transacted at a BPCL pump for 1000 rupees . got 7.5 rs instant discount . and paid 992.50 from my card .
some news article says they have reduced the incentive from 0.75% to 0.25% . but we still get 0.75% . BPCL is still giving 0.75% ?

Ok.. it was instant discount .. and in the charge slip it was written 0.75% digital payment discount . I had used a prepaid master card. Don’t know if some pumps woukd have registered with some different MCC other than that of fuel merchant . Tq
ICICI pockets prepaid visa card charge full amount & reverse the 0.75% Fuel transactions fee within 12days.
Hope same for RuPay prepaid cards or may be its depend on merchants MCC.
0.75% discount is still working or not?
As I paid using debit card. Got SMS regarding 0.75% discount but still charged full amount.
0.75% discount is applicable across all Fuel Pumps categorized under Fuel stations /Petrol pumps as
defined by MCC list of Visa/MasterCard/RuPay, including Franchise owned pumps.
The customer will receive the Discount in maximum 7 working days of the transaction. The Discount
will be refunded to the customer’s account (for Debit card transactions) / Credit Card account /
Prepaid card account.
