My review on voltas 1.5T 3star inverter ac
model : 183V SZS floral design
price : 32111/- from paytm, seller bajaj electronics
delivery time : 2days, installation : 2nd day from date of delivery

I have sent the sms for the extended warranty and yet to receive any call form them, when i asked the rep about installation charges they said only when purchasing through tata cliq will get free installation but the price on tata is around 38k for same model. so i thought extra 1k no problem

but to my surprise when i got a call from voltas dealer they said they were fitting all inverter split acs for free. they came the next day and installed the ac for 0 charge

i cannot comment yet on the ac performance, but will soon

overall 8/10. freaking happy with the ac

inverter vs non inverter ac

non-inverter ac = compressor have single speed ,
means if your room temp is 35C and you set ac at 24C , then compressor will work on single speed (high) til 24C and then will be off , on increasing room temp again (+2C) it will again start and run at same single speed .
so it will be on-off many times to keep your temp at 24C .
result – 5-15% more power consumption

Inverter Ac = compressor with variable speed ,
means if your room temp is 35C and you set AC at 24C , then compressor will work on high speed til 24C and then will not off , it still continues to run at low speed to maintain room temp at 24C , so your AC will never off and room temp will be constant at 24-25C .
result – no multiple times trip/on-off . save power + most important increase life of compressor and no extra load on electricity supply (after reaching 24C)
however price of inverter ac will be high ..

compressor =
reciprocating is better than rotary for cooling ,,
but 90% companies use only rotary for less power consumption , less price and low maintenance ..
indian temperature not goes above 50C and humidity also not that high ,, so rotary will work good ..

window or split =
if you have space for window then go for window AC otherwise split .
window have low maintenance cost , more area coverage for cooling , rare gas leakage issue .
split looks good in room , silent operation , high maintenance cost , need to drill in wall (if it is beam then ac technician will not drill it bcoz it is too hard) ..

star rating =
in 2018 star rating changed for all ACs so if you buy AC with 2018 star rating label then 3 star is equivalent to 5 star of 2017 ..
so buy 2 or 3 star ACs ..
btw i will suggest you to check score on that label bcoz many ACs brand with same star rating have diff score . higher the score , more you save power cost .

copper vs aluminium =
i think it need not to compare , bcoz already many brands started to make ACs only in copper .

F’ing voltas. sent that shit WTA sms like 5 times and no one called be back till now. what the hell service lol. well lesson learned cheap ac cheap service

Bro the warranty attracts lott but the service is very bad as i have voltas split ac and its compressor not working now and its on warranty but still they are asking 3900 rs for exchanging telling like capacitor not working but i was having knowledge becoz i am ac mechanic there was no fault they are working but they saying only compressor can not be exchanged if u want then u have to get replace other parts by them and also gas should be filled by them only

I bought voltas ac 1.2 ton model 153V DZV from flipkart.When i called voltas for the extended warranty they have denied it citing extended warranty is not applicable on products bought from flipkart.Has anybody else faced this?

I have bought voltas split ac 11 months before. Last two days back voltas engineer done my ac free service but now ac is not cooling. Pls give your help
