XE800 is modified VSonic GR07 which sells for more than 9k. So it’s different league than KZ Iems. So these can be said best under $100 Iems.

I have never had such high-end headphones. I really like my KZ mentioned above. Are these XE800 better than KZ?

Sound is a subjective matter so I can’t say which is better but there are many cheap Chinese IEMs that are better than KZ ate or maybe not(depends on you).
Some places like http://www.head-fi.org/t/805930/best-sub-100-ch...
and
https://audiobudge...m/
will give some idea what each of them sound like. You can pick one according to your budget. If you are stepping into audiophile zone then you can’t just hope to pick one and be happy with it forever. There always be something that will best one feature over other and you will be tempted to try so unless you have money to try them don’t indulge just be satisfied with what you have till it breaks.

On those sites you will find raving about these till something ‘better’ comes along

https://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/UiiSii...
https://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/Tennma...
etc etc

Edit: XE800 is high on treble, but very detailed sound.

By source you mean DAC?

What is purpose music or movies or both?

M50w basically has more bass than M10 otherwise both are same. So with M10 you can make a good setup for movies and music both. If you have priority to music then Swans D1080-IV will be a better choice.
As for DAC, Pick up Schiit Modi. SMSL Sanskrit is also one very good DAC but SMSL has very bad repo for quality issues and virtually no after sale service(a friend has a Sanskrit which went kaput and only option is to send back to ‘Chaina’ for repairs).

can we connect that dac to an Android device… ?

Yes https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_smile.gif
There is another one with a aluminium box too with same chip for about Rs.700 but it will draw power from android so you will have to carry a powerbank too. This chip is good as cheap alternative if you find any other with Sabre 9023 or PCM 5102 based that’s much better.

P.S The sound is good only via optical out. On 3.5mm it’s just as good as Realtek.

Hey,
I’m looking for a budget in ear headphones. My budget is around 2k. You know of any(if I get hi-fi in range around 3k, I’ll go for that too)?

Check the XE800 link I posted above. It’s little treble centric and KZ Ate/ED9/ZS3 for more bass but XE800 is not a comparison with any KZ Iem.

I would also look into Senfer 4 in 1 (link posted above). People are crazy about it nowadays.

Lol...maybe coz I bought the porta-pros. I know the guy who owns the Hifinage website. He is not only honest but sells for really low margins only coz he is an audiophile at heart too. Edit: Yes these are open, on the ear, portable. "@Spock":https://www.desidime.com/users/...88

saw those allegedly MRP’ed at 6000+ bluetooth phones get advertised by snapdeal http://epaperbeta.timesofindia.com/NasData/Publ...
at 1600-1700

i think some deal too has been posted for those Moto bluetooth circumaural ones today

mine is a typical requirement unfortunately and leads to multiple options.

giving it to Maa would serve the basic call receiving, youtube or odd music listening.

but since paa listens to a lot of Indian Classical too i was inclined for a real speaker (bass, Indian percussion).
entry level x50-x100 or JBL Go might suffice for requirement of maa, but the higher end wirefree speakers ith good range all cost a respectable 5000-6000 plus on the minimum

hey, have any new Creative Auravana with ATC been launched here lately ?
[i heard those were a me too of Bose QC series but priced under 9999 and rolled my eyes ’cause i doubt if it is worth it. even if prices are kept low being wired, it hardly seems like a competition for higher end stuff]

link please ? or is it http://www.amazon.in/Electronics-SIGNATURE-ACOU... ??

just realised, what happened of your memory foam etcetera home made/ assembled phones project ?

it is weird that a resourceful guy like you somewher in a resourceful city like Dilli (or someplace similar) could get some indiamart or biz fellow or stockist to part with some sample !

I could onlly think of that China import, self labelled medical devices seller/name : JSB

I am 98.98% sure they sell some in-soles or something for shoes and claim it as being memory foam.

edit: amazon.in/s/field-keywords=memory+foam+insole
