Aadhar Linkage with Mobile Number - Anyone got any message to do so from their Operator?

I got a message from airtel asking me to visit the nearest retailer to link my aadhar no with mobile no, to ensure continued services, as per govt. directive.
I got it on only one number. Anyone else get such a message?

I know that I don’t have my no. linked to my aadhar. What’s the last date for this linkage? Is yours linked?
Yaah today retailer force to me link adhaar with airtel number. I think they gets commission for Adhaar linkage
there’s no such aggressive rule(or rights) regarding aadhar card, it’s ok not to link aadhar card to your mobile no.
bhai unhe sms karne do , ab link karane kon jayega , why not give online service .
yes now on it will be mandatory to link your adhar card to ur mobile number .
It has started , lot of people getting messages .
Even retailers are getting options in their apps to verify old customers with adhaar .
Within next few months people will have to strictly link their aadhar card number with mobile , otherwise sim will get blocked.
This is done by government to stop sim forgery and frauds…
so no more OTP sellers … u will clearly know that on ur name/ID how many sims are working …

Supreme Court has given a direction to link all mobile numbers to Adhaar. This exercise is to be completed by Feb 2018.
Don’t think mobile operators will stop service post feb18 that easily. All they have been doing in the past few years is increasing their consumer base regardless of the per month inflow the new user generates

I had searched with keyword ‘Aadhaar’ but didn’t found this thread as OP had used ‘Aadhar’.
My father has linked his airtel mobile no with aadhaar but what i saw is that they are opening an airtel payments bank automatically with that. Is there any option such that if i don’t want to open an airtel payments bank account then too the number will be linked to aadhaar card?
File a police complaint under Sec 420 and also with economic offences wing.

Supreme court has given no such orders. They want all numbers to be verified again but they never said anything about aadhaar card.
