You can’t sleep in Airport lounge. Airport hotels are not covered under your credit card. You need to pay for your stay as per the cost of the hotel where you will stay.

You can have Free Wifi, Comfy couches and sofas, and free food in a lounge. It is not an Airport hotel, It is a section inside the airport where you can chill out, take some rest and have free food. If you are availing free lounge access from your credit card, your name should match in your credit card and your boarding pass.

Moreover, most lounges limit your stay inside to around 90-120 minutes.

P.S Keep in mind most lounges restrict the stay 3-4 hours.

Thanx for the info. 1 query regarding priority pass.
What does it actually mean? Having pp means always free access to longue? Anyone can get free access with pp (who is not even cardholer then also)? It’s for International longue only?

@prabha.avum 1-2 rs will be debit from your card. Yes, will get food and 2-3 drink options depending on the lounge. There will also be paid counter to buy drinks(beer or alcohol drink). For international airport lounges, you may get more free drink options.
They might restrict you to stay for 4 hours but I never faced that issue, I stayed for more than 8 hours also a few times. Never experienced that they keeping track of time for anyone staying.

Most airport lounges are available after the security check is completed in departures. Very few have lounge available after you exit from arrivals (Hyderabad airport is one such example)

Few airport lounges have restriction on when you can avail the service too. In Bangalore they are now allowing you in only 3 hours prior to flight departure time.

Coming to hotel option. Again, a very few lounges have them and few airports have other hotels so do research into it prior to your journey. I availed a bed in Delhi domestic airport lounge once and ended up shelling out 4.5k for 4 or 6 hours I guess (for 2 adults).

It depends. If lounge access is within security area then You may not access it, to access lounge you need boarding pass. there are some airport that may have lounge access on arrival.

(1) Priority Pass is a third party lounge access provider that operates globally. You can “generally” use Indian issued Priority Passes only in foreign airports but not all Indian lounges are enforcing this strictly.
.
(2) Having a PP does not mean free access. As it is mentioned in one of the previously linked post, the number of free entries is communicated to you from your bank which issued the priority pass to you. Some super premium credit cards do come with Priority Passes that have unlimited free visits (example: Citi Prestige and HDFC Infinia). Some mid-level cards also come with Priority Passes but with no free visits included — you only get the discounted rate of $27 per visit.
.
(3) The name on the Priority Pass should match the one on your boarding pass. So only cardholders are supposed to use the priority pass. But many foreign lounges are not that strict on matching the name on the boarding pass — this is changing quickly as lounge occupancy is increasing rapidly across the globe.
.
(4) See the answer in (1) above.

“Arrival” terminal airport lounges (i.e. “landside” lounges) are only present in a few major cities in India. And they are usually not free with credit card memberships. They are like day hotels where people pay heavy amounts to stay for 6-12 hours. @raghupro mentioned this above.
