Airtel looting money for numbers starting with 1860. Few banks like icici has only that number to connect to customer care. What the hell in this world happening. All the costs going high

Don’t want toll free number. But airtel has high charges for this number. About 2.5 rs per minute. Banks and airtel combine and looting us. Jio it is free as part of unlimited plan.
And the shit icici bank doesn’t allow you to call from another number. So we cannot use jio. Need to change the registered number to jio. Trying to find out how to update mobile number.
icici online chat through their netbanking login (only weekdays during working hrs) works better than telecalling.
Sent an email to icici bank on the high charges by airtel. Let’s see their response.
This 1860 no is local call rate no where bank or institution doesnt pay for incoming unlike in 1800 toll free no where incoming is charged to instituion. Advantage of these nos is same no for whole india.
Now this 1860 is not toll free but local call rate no … so should be charged acc to local call rates but these old operators use to charge std rates and still charging same as no one complains and govt aka trai deaf on consumer vouces.
Anyone remember old std rate of 2.5rs per min when local call was 1.5 per minute?
Yes same rate still applies for idea/voda/airtel.

Agreed. That’s the reason they all want to shift to 1860 from 1800. A customer would hesitate to call a (exorbitant) paid number. Lol.. Poor trick to restrict call volumes.
make a complaint to trai..send them an email…someone should complain to stop these networks bullying! 
Why always fight. It’s not only Airtel who charges 1860 series numbers. Other than Jio every operator charges on same I think. But Airtel has mucb better Average Speed than Jio. And If you wanna compare plans then Jio gives 2GB per day for 90 days in 499. And Airtel gives 3.4 GB Per day for 84 days in 558. You think which is better for you and Switch/Port.

There are several issues with every operator. TRAI and such Bodies are useless. They don’t care about customers. In My Area In Pune I never saw Jio giving speed more than 200 KB. Jio has brought the pricing down but their speeds sucks in cities.
Try to complain for poor network and they are the most efficient one to do so as on date. Experienced in rural areas too.
Still loot going on. Most of the banks changing customer care numbers from 1800 to 1860
You want operators to give free calling everywhere ?
1860 isnt a toll free helpline, change the bank if you have issues with the number
