Aliexpress order shipped through Gati..!!

Dude, its normal for a package to get shipped from China via Gati. (Happened with me so many times).
Especially all my eBay Global orders from Hong Kong/China are routed via Gati.

I didnt have to pay anything to customs since those were low valued (CHINDI) items.
→ Yours depends on your luck but don’t worry odds are in your favour.

P.S. Always keep it in mind that one may have to pay to customs when buying internationally.

For anything greater than 2000 bucks Indian custom duty bear by buyers, anything less than 2000 bucks no custom duty charged by Indian customs. I think you should not to be worried about to pay custom duty for this order.

I order from gearbest and never paid customs when its shipped via gati courier.its very fast service though.

My friend ordered ONE PLUS 3T when it was just launched by ONEPLUS for around 30 K ( I don’t remember it exactly ) . The seller sent the parcel through Singapore Post and the order arrived in around 20 days . He was extremely surprised because he paid exactly 0 custom charges . It is your luck if your parcel arrives without any custom charges . It is not mandatory that charges will be levied on products worth more than ₹ 2000 , generlly the seller undervalues the product cost. Even I ordered a product worth around ₹6000 without any custom charges from CHINA .

I ordered an action cam from gearbest. My order was shipped on 27 October and now it’s 8 November still gati.com search shows Hongkong can out for next station whereas tracking result showed assured delivery by 4 November. Horrible service from Gati.

My order from gearbest on 24/11/2017 too hasnt arrived till now.Gati tracking shows 2 updates 29 November-International operation centre check-in and 30 November-International operation centre In transit.God knows what those terms mean !

Any recent news about custom charges?

Got 2 pairs of gym gloves recently from aliexpress.
First seller shipped it through GATI (3$ gloves + 2$ shipping). Received it in 7 days flat. No hassles or whatever.
Second seller shipped it through this never heard GrandSlamExpress courier although I paid extra bucks just to be specifically shipped via Aramex (3$ gloves + 9$ shipping). It reached their B’lore warehouse very fast. Here’s the twist. They want me to pay 8.5$ customs charge for 3$ gloves. I flat out declined to pay even a penny & raised a dispute on Aliexpress against the seller for not honouring my request to ship it through courier of my choice & using his own. the case is in progress & In 2days time I will know if I win or loose 12$.

I have bought a android smarwatch worth 8000 rupees from aliexpress I paid no customs, the seller shipped via Singapore post also headphones of one 3000 rupees another 1000 rupees, watch bands of 450 rupees another via gati 620 rupees..every item I bought through AliExpress were shipped via India post… so it doesn’t matters whether your item low cost…it depends on numerous things I would like to suggest while buying to avoid customs:

1: try to use postal service or if you can’t understand use the AliExpress standard shipping this is basically the China post or Singapore post or honkong post which Handover the item to indiapost.
2: never use premium delivery partners like dhl, FedEx coz they will charge a lot delivery charge along with you have to pay customs whatever your products be! Even 10$ also. I once choose standard shipping but the seller shipped via gati so do chat with ur seller before placing order. I was lucky enough to escape custom as it was only 7 $ watch strap.
3: try not to buy phones you will surely charged a hefty amount… or try not to buy items having sim card provision….though my smart watch had sim card provision still I didn’t pay custom because it was very light in weight
4: never buy in bulk..suppose you want to buy 3 charging adapter’s of same company and from same seller… No don’t do this the more heavy your parcel the more likely it will attract custom and the officers will think you might be a seller you will resale the items so they will get hold of you. You can buy 1 at a time or from different sellers.
5: check the product weight and parcel dimension the less the better you will escape.
6: you can tell the seller to mark its a gift in the message while ordering but it is not so effective. The seller automatically undervalues the price if you even don’t tell. Also if your bad luck is quite bad the custom officers will open your parcel to check they have the right.

Hi I ordered a smartwatch valued $38 from AliExpress on 16th June 2019. The same got despatched thru Gati on 19th. I even paid $1.74 for faster delivery. The destination in in Kerala. Till 30th June the parcel is in transit!!!.

On 20th I ordered another item from a different store which got despatched thru AliExpress standard shipping. I got the item 27th. So fast. What I mean to say is Gati has a lousy service according to me. Today I got tracking info the parcel is at “int’l operations centre” . Where is it. India or China. How long it takes to reach Kerala

I have 2 orders from cesdeals. 2 pairs of Bluetooth Earphones, in separate orders, order value is around 40$ each. I made my 1st order on 4th November and the 2nd on 5th November. They have used Gati, the tracking info shows only 2 updates (for both orders it is the same) :
