The Union home ministry has issued strict guidelines for the enforcement of the 21-day complete nationwide lockdown in the wake of the covid-19 pandemic, invoking the National Disaster Management Act which may result in imprisonment of up to two years for any violation.
When in China the virus outbreak happened. That time only India could have canceled every international transport like flights, and ships. This could have saved India from Corona.
Which country did that? I did not come across any such info from other nations which you consider way better than India.
This is not a masterstroke. This is a face saving exercise of sheer incompetence whose results you will see next week. Already there is a 500% spike in Pneumonia of unknown origin that is likely to be Corona. People are already dying but are not being tested.
I request you all to report the trolls. Don’t let yet another topic taken over by them and eventually moved to political.
Keep this practical and factual. Share your own experiences, regarding essential items’ availablity, police harassment etc. from your respective cities under this lock-down, be it positive or negative.
Those who are assuming stuffs, like a million might have died if someone else was in charge, should keep mum. I am assuming, if a literate human being instead of a third-rate, uneducated citizen was in charge then the virus would not even entered India, had the flights been grounded much earlier. So don’t go playing the assuming game, as upon digging cobra will come out instead of earthworm. Thank you.
Ah went out for grocery and other stationery shopping, stood behind at least 25 people, bought all the essential stuffs as much as i could carry. I’m good for 15 days or something now.
Why? Follow govt guidelines..no panic buying.
Govt has today again said that online – essential services will be on – then why amazon grofers flipkart bigbasket have stopped the service
on one side they say stay at home, then they say we will provide home delivery – the online sites stop the service – so its either they give us service or we go out
Keep your hopes as low as possible.
It might take days/weeks to implement it fully…currently there’s huge scarcity of delivery persons. Even if they resume it.. many won’t get the deliveries or there will be huge delays
New York is the epicenter in USA for corona cases and deaths and they still haven’t gone into a lockdown.
Its best to trust nearby stores than online deliveries right now (Opt for the ones with time slot / token system)
I made a mistake opting for 1 month milk subscription via SUPR Daily .. First one/two days..deliveries were on-time but for the past 8 dayszero deliveries
Everytime they miss delivery..they refund the product value to my Supr wallet instead of source
Guess in 3 weeks, 95% of the my subscription amount will get refunded as worthless (right now) Supr credits

When the first patient was detected on Jan 30, India has the option to shut down all International Flight operations to ensure than no infected person entered the country. It chose not to do so and endangered everyone. Now the whole country has to be locked down. Just hope that this is good enough and its not too late.
Even if they had managed to do it on March 5 or implement the March 11 travel advisory strictly…there would have been no need to shutdown the entire country
Neither the international flights stopped coming..not their implemented strict quarantine measures for the incoming travellers
This (lockdown) is definitely a good thing for many people who were at risk of getting infected but they (agencies/govt) are answerable to those ~500 (minus the sources) who got infected/died
Will dmart be open? They already closed their support and they shut down the non-essentials and clothing but what about groceries?
Don’t know about D-Mart but I have heard that Reliance Fresh will remain open.
So 21 days it is then. I know, sounds like forever for people used to staying out of the house 6 days a week, 10 hours a day and yearning for that sweet weekend spot to cover up for the lost sleep, to relax, do your own thing. I can only imagine how difficult it has been and is going to be for some of us to just stay behind the door.
I encourage you to pick something to do, maybe read that book you had for so long but never had the time to. You used to love painting but your lifestyle allowed you absolutely no time this is it, this the time. Gyms closed, just YouTube home workout videos. Make a diet plan, eat healthy, drink more water. Take some time out and list down what you always wanted to do if you had this vacation. And most importantly spend time with your family, talk to them, sit to eat with them. I know how badly you want this to get over soon, but you’re gonna miss this time once the monotony is back.

What PM failed to mention is that… its going to be a “Flash Sale” for “Doorstep Deliveries” 
Now people will be forced to step out n get stuff (even those 10% who used to order everything online)..hope they don’t get beaten up / charged legally while they’re on their way to the nearest available grocery store
Here there are 2-3 kirana stores on 5 min walk but there is also a Thana right in front of it xD.
Instead of forcing people PSA caller tunes, could had done Lockdown of all the travel from that day onwards
