Amazon account abuse warnings

How many of you have got amazon abuse warnings and have been blacklisted? I got a mail yesterday stating that I have asked for refund for too many orders and that my account is being reviewed. If you get that mail please don’t ignore as you will never get customer support in the future. I had like 100+ orders and had not even asked for a single refund, but yesterday when I asked them for a replacement for a 8gb pendrive which was not working within an hour I got a mail stating that your account is under review for policy abuse. I tried chatting with amazon customer care, but their response and behaviour with me was indifferent, and when I spoke to a supervisor he told on my face that they don’t support policy abusers. He told me I can stop shopping on amazon if I chose to as he can clearly see that my account is blacklisted
I escalated this to CIE (account specialist team) and they came back apologizing for the blunder they did. I replied back stating that was not done and I want all my open orders amounting to around 37k be closed and all my delivered orders amounting to approx 27k be taken back including a laptop. Got a call from someone claiming to be a manager and he has promised that he would look into the issue. So please take this seriously as your address will be blacklisted.

lol… who told you that, india tv news channel ?
WhatsApp group.
someone might be trolling.. they would just take legal action if someone loot them badly
They can’t take any legal action if its a pricing mistake or some multiple discounts being applied. They can take legal action only if they try to dupe amazon by sending back brick goods when they return products for replacement or refunds (not sure if amazon has started giving replacements- never had the necessity to, have got refunds couple of times though)
i mean by manipulating discountes/loot items either by multiple accounts or some other means
but they dont bother even then, most probably they wold just block your ip/account and fix the loopholes if any
Apparently these recovery agents work in a legal grey area in cahoots with lawyers and cops. they won’t register a case but call you to the police station to scare you. recover agents at the end of the month share the commission from loot recovery with police and lawyers. 10% for loot less than 5k, 15%above 10k, 20% above 50k.

I wish they do that to me.. Would make amazon pay my shopping bills forever

Even if you are a lawyer or a cop it would be difficult

The account specialist who blacklisted my account called me sometime back to apologize for the misunderstanding. Speaking to him I could make out few things.
He had clearly picked that I had 5 accounts (2 are without any transactions from a long time- created during early days of amazon for some loot I guess). But luckily other 2 accounts were in name of my cousin and my sister. I asked him if it violated their terms and he told multiple family and friends account are not an issue but multiple accounts can cause issues. My cousin’s account was always used on a different mobile with different network and never had my shipping address, not sure how he picked it (maybe sometime I had used the account on wifi)
He warned me not to avail coupons on multiple family accounts ( I had used those soulflower oil coupon on all 3 accounts).
He warned against adding multiple gift cards which was in the name of others.
Guess he wanted me to stop me to ask for further escalations and he was more accomodative in answering my questions regarding to policy violations. Mostly they don’t do this, as once I had spoken to an account specialist of amazon.com, wherein my account had violations for rejecting too many orders I had got shipped to India. But this agent told few such things but he avoided telling anything else. Now I am very much sure that they are just letting go of the policy violations to certain extent as they are in their early days.
Guess we should ask them to close our previous accounts which we used for any sort of loots or which we think might have used for loots. Remember if you are black listed their customer care will never bother helping you (experience of amazon.com and they even disconnect chat/call if you start insisting). Don’t ask for those 5-10rs price difference, reject orders after they are shipped. Amazon’s analytics’ are far far better than ebay or even flipkart, just that we have not realised their power.
bro! how can we clouse our previous accounts?? can i simply change it to some random name/number? will they have history of r ip address activity? plz tell me what to do!! may be der 1 rupee deal plan is to trace customers using imei numbers!!

You can send them an email requesting to close the accounts. They will send out a link where you’ve to confirm the account closure. And your account will be closed in almost 6-12 hours.

Also they have made the policies more strict. Its just a button click away from finding all our related accounts and fake accounts. Please close all your unused accounts and respect their business.

And what if they review your account just because you asked them to close your account?
Most of the times, they do check everything before closing your account
IP Address is not the issue here, its the device ID and the shipping address
What if you are using Public WIFI of a college/hostel? They shouldnt close all our accounts right?
But if that’s mobile IP address, they may trace it
Use one ID per device only, this would suffice i guess
And payment mode also matters, they can trace it
So if you are placing like 5 orders, try to do it from 3-4 bank accounts/payment modes and use different delivery address
Now i am kinda worried as i used to use same device for two-three accounts for axis card orders
May be they are tracing specific orders like price errors and loots and even this surprise 1 re sale ones too

hmm..i have also logged in 2-3 from same device. but as of now they r not as strict as uber or ebay in suspending accounts.. may be after these 1 rupee sales v might see them terminating!

Abuse account closure is handled by a different department. If you request for closure of your account it will be closed without looking into the account history.

mobile IP address is not remain fixed, its changes as we on/off data and change location ? correct me if I am wrong. @getready
That’s correct but still they keep track of your IMEI number and MAC address.

Its good if this is true for amazon
For ebay, its the same department

I have no idea about eBay. But at amazon its just the two different teams handling it.

Yeah mostly this is correct.. I guess they would close the account without any auditing. See the below mail, which means that they probably wont be doing an audit not sure though
Hello,
I want to make sure that closing your Amazon.in account won’t cause problems with any open transactions or other websites you might visit.
Once your account is closed, it is no longer accessible by you or anyone else. In addition, the following will no longer be available to you:
—your accounts at Amazon.com, Amazon.de, Amazon.fr, Amazon.it, Amazon.co.jp, Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.cn, Amazon.ca or Junglee
—your Wish List, or Your Profile page
—your Amazon.in Associates account
—your Amazon.in Gift Card balance, if any
If you would like to order from us again, you will need to start a new account.
No bro I don’t need to contact them … I was asking just to have the info in case it is required .. my account is clean .. though i did place 68 orders during the kirana now loot.. boy was that a good time ….;-}
