I am a Amazon Prime user since 6 years !
I have never faced any account fraud !
Today afternoon someone tried to transact on my Account!
I have received a message as follows from Amazon :
Verification code: 371980, valid for five minutes.
Luckily I have already enabled 2 – step verification system on my Account to prevent Fraud !
So i request everyone Prime user to enable 2-step verification on their. Account to prevent Fraud !
I remember I have ordered on Swiggy yesterday but already de-link my Amazon Account !
So someone Fraudster did this to get used money !

Yes , if 2-step verification is enable then they can’t do fraud .
Useful Tip : Don’t Keep more than 100/- in your account !
Someone once logged into my account and bought gv of 100rs. Balance was 140 and hence he managed to buy it.
He literally logged into my account.
Asked cc to cancel the gv and refund amt. They also asked me to enable 2 step verification.
Luckily i saw thr gv generated mail and there was less money.
Changed password for all accounts after that 😉
but to login someone need password/OTP, how can anyone login?

Amazon > Your Account > Login Details > Enable 2-Step Verification
Useful Tip 2 : Don’t Keep always Logged in any browser , Food ordering app ( Always after order success you should De-link Amazon Account ) & also other accounts like Paytm , Mobikwik, Phonepe, Freecharge .

I think you registered on textnow or some other website for otp website they are exchanged no. with each other ☹️😢
I didn’t Registered or used " textnow "
Tips : don’t save your passwords in your browser (like chrome etc.)
Use a strong password (a combination of special characters,big & small alphabets, numbers) and at least 20-30(length).
Or use any password generator (like lastpass etc.)
You can also see and unlink your Amazon account from one place.
Your Account > Accounts Settings > Login with Amazon

Today my account got compromise and 2 fraud transaction done at around 7 pm

My account has 2 step verification even then
When i checked there are 3 devices registered on my account…. How this is possible … When i further check , one device register yesterday … And ya i done a transaction yesterday at payu merchant… ..
I immediately call cc and then told that they investigate and wait for 24hrs..
So i thought payu is the fraudster..
Actually , i use incognito yesterday and when i redirect from payu to Amazon i put my Amazon id pass and otp to login and pay the transaction…
And ya point is other fraud device.also register on yesterday which i know after fraud transaction done up today evening
I use it but don’t share any security credentials to anyone till.now as i know if i share then it will be a risk !
But question is how fraudsters getting account details
