amazon add balance issue

I am facing a weird issue. While trying to add Amazon pay balance it is asking me to change mobile number… I don’t have any alternate number and Amazon said if the system is asking then you need to change… Question is if my number is already registered why should I change my number… Is there any higher escalation email address for Amazon?
Please help. I have reported it 2 days ago with screenshots still no resolution 😞
