Amazon COD card payments

Anyone know how this is done? Do you need a card to do this? Since I only have virtual cards, would this work or do they need a physical card? I never seen any POS stuff with them. Their tab only has the scanner and many times I sign on paper that it was delivered.. Even the postal guy has a phone I can sign on.

Amazon CC was trying to get me to order COD and I refused because I was not sure how it would go.

You can pay cod order with paylink. When they dispatch order they usually send link through sms and also an email. you should be able to use virtual card there

The last 2 COD orders I did, I did not receive any link.. htey just showed up at the door and asked for cash, I got email that it was shipped but only link to order status. Even though I wanted to pay with card.. Which they would not accept..
So refused both orders and it went back.. But the CC guy was adamant for me to order COD due to some issues and he said he would make sure it worked yada yada yada etc.. But since its never worked before I am skeptical..

I forget only if they send the order with Amazon transportation service, you will receive the link

OK WILL TRY AGAIN. Getting my card today so even if they need it I would have one. The POS machines are basically a Phone with extra functionality now anyway. They have a lot of functionality unlike what we had 10 years ago but they just do not know how to use it. And if you ask them they just say we cant do it rather than finding out how to use it.

Maybe the main problem is these are just delivery guys.. They dotn know how to use a phone let alone anything as complex as a POS machine and don’t get any training.

If the package is delivered by ATS, you may ask them for a QR code for payment.
In their app, their is an option to generate QR which you can scan & pay using any wallet.

What do you mean by “pay using any wallet”? Do you mean use all amazon payment options?

I did ask about this a couple of times but the guys did not know what I was talking about and just said he would find out and call.. Kind of like that girl who don’t want to ever see you again. If I had ever seen one of these things in their hand I could ask more about it, but they shove a piece of paper for me to sign like maybe the last 100 times. Asking for something electronic would be like insulting them..

There are various payment options in the delivery persons’ app.
They are not much aware about it, as most people have faced issue during the ‘Scan-n-Pay’ offer.
The QR code provided by the delivery guy can be scanned using any wallets like PayZapp, Pockets, G-Pay, etc.
There was a photo shared by a dimer, where he has shown where that option is available in a delivery guys app. If you search older posts for Scan-n-Pay, you might find it & then show the same to delivery guy.
All this depends on the delivery guy whether he have the app or not.

Oh that’s UPI.. Don’t want to use that since that is the most expensive payment.

Yea they have a lot of options and they don’t know how to use it. The turn over is so high I don’t think they can train people and keep them around for long, although this one guy that delivers has been around for the last 2 years at least but all the others pretty much are different for each delivery.

Amazon page says ask your delivery guy for help in paying with card.. I think it was sarcasm.. Since I would have to show him how to do it. Every time I have refused delivery it has ended in a yelling match so I hate doing it. I usually cancel the order many days before but they still show up.
