I ordered 64 gb SanDisk otg pen drive and boat 2m type c cable at 1058rs on 4th oct….it got delivered today but when I open the box I got lotus herbals professional phytorx rejuvina herbcomplex protective lotion 100ml and wow skin science coconut milk shampoo 300ml….but luckily I also got that 64 gb pendrive…..
forgot to mention that I got 200rs cashback too…

They will collect all products back and block account and won’t even refund money.
For petty things, Amazon doesn’t (usually) ask to return. They will ship the cable for sure. If op creates a scene with support, they might even offer a gift card.

What difference is between you and those who take out the phone and place soap bars in mobile boxes, if you do this?

i think they might flag his account.

its far fetched but here is my assumption.

items got switched while packaging.

some guy must not have received his items instead he received that cable.

he raises that issue. gets his due anyway.

Amazon must be having good tech to map that/track it to whom it might have gone by just identify on that day whose cable was getting shipped.

they may mark your as ****.

or they don’t care.

in future you may or may not be facing some issue with your account.

These things are pretty common, orders/items getting swapped, especially during sale pressure.
There is absolutely no reason to flag the account. On the contrary, OP will be returning expensive items compared to cable.

Oh okay!
But even then there is no chance to get account flagged. A lot of people would have ordered Cable and Soap/Shampoo, not just the OP. So, Amazon can’t even track who got the wrong items unless someone raises a complaint. If someone calls that he got a cable instead of shampoo, which he sure will, Amazon has no way to track who got the shampoos. Impossible.
I worked for a shipping company for a little while and they shipped internationally. Swapping items was common and we never knew who got the correct items unless someone reported.

I have had this in past, it’s a case of “Bag ID Mismatch”.
Quick Tip: If they let you keep this product (let the order stay as it is), well & good but don’t let them place or ask for a “Refund” because you got cashback & their system will deduct the cashback amount i.e 200 & refund you the remaining.
So ask them nicely, if you should keep these Personal care products or they can take a “Replacement” request, compensate you in wallet or they just place a new request for cables on your behalf (<- i have had this in past).

Once, a delivery guy delivered the wrong packet to my home. Name(similar to my name) address all details are different packet should be delivered to some other person. I called amazing Amazon explained the situation and collected the actual owner number, called him, luckily that owner is my father’s friend. The owner came to my home-just 3km and collected package which was intact, out of curiosity I inquired what’s in it and price he told it’s pedigree for their new 🐕 and product price is 1500. Uncle appreciated my act in front of my father. We all know that satisfaction.
