Got a leaked ghee packet today so immediately asked for either replacement or a refund but they denied it. Now I’m having 2nd thoughts about ordering.

Previously got a broken presto bottle, the top opening part was smashed and I’m 100 % sure they send a broken bottle bcz the bottle opening had cello tape and was packed tightly with plastic wrap and it came together with sanitary pads, nothing heavy was in it.
I didn’t ask refund on that since I got it cheap in lightning deal but this is infuriating, the ghee package is not only expensive but I bought it for consuming purpose. How can they do this??
Is there any way to get refund? other than posting pics on twitter.

I had collecting coupons and loading amazon pay but now I don’t think I’ll order groceries or household items anymore, will have to use it up on bill payments.
It’s not just me who have been getting damage packages recently but even some neighbours and my renter got them.

No real way to know the exact cause of the denial. It could be anything… yours maybe a new account and you may have return products in unusual number. Or maybe your have availed this “feature” a few times in the past with non-returnable items. So may be something else.

I have never faced this issue in the past, They usually refund me and I don’t even have to provide them photos either.

Try tweeting with photos and post on Facebook too. Let’s see what happens.

Yes amazon customer care is good as compared to other apps. If your problem is genuine and you provide them its proof with pics they will surely help with replacement or refund.

I made 3 accounts. And this one was old rarely used account. The last purchase was on March, which I cancelled while the order was still on the way (bcz my parents suddenly made a plan to visit somewhere and nobody would be here to take in the order).
And the last return and refund happen on June in other account since the product was fake

Any human interaction with Amazon sucks. Their CS executives are not less than any third grade road side s(?)uckers. They simply follow what ever is there in the system.
They do not know the meaning of “Common sense”. Infact, one of the CS executive sent me a mail (for one of the CB) that there is no escalation for this since he is the final authority. He doesn’t know the meaning of ombudsman. Such a s(?)uckers we have.

Coming to your issue: Keep raising the issue again and again, some one will contact you over phone, they do not have a coordination among them. Every time new person will call you and tell his own version of reason. Ask them to send a Email about this. Get three four Emails and post them in twitter of AmazonIN.

If some thing unique, you will face the music.

I connect first using chat and then they say some other group will call you over phone.
Any other way to contact for first level escalation?

you’re righy! its frustating talking to them!
I received a broken biotique face wash, the cap was broken and more then half of it was around the cardboard box and after posting pics in email, didn’t give refund.

always do mail with order id and images with details of issue.
you will get better results rather than chat or call.

They’re not good at delivering items. Esp grocery.
The delivery guy esp the one that comes in autovan ALWAYS dropped the boxes from high above, even others orders too when he’s searching for the correct box.
Maybe that’s when orders inside get damage:(

I live in Panbazar now. And it used to take 3-5 days but now the nearest hub takes 5 and longest 8-9 days.
And only this year, I have received more damage products and one theft.

Hmm.. So mostly seller isnt at fault, i usually get grocery items in 1 or maximum 2 days over here, and everything has been fine, amazon rejects even genuine issues these days if too many requests are there from one account

thats terrible. i really want to refund on this and I’ll reduce my shopping list for amazon sale.
its really not safe if they don’t take care of delivery issues. Should train some of their delivery guys, they really need to stop dropping boxes hard.

I doubt anything would help here, they have been doing business like that only
You can surely take the issue on social media, would get a resolution definitely
But in the long run, more or less it would remain the same, better only to order durables online
The climate is also a factor, its quite hot and humid these days, should be better in winters

I was thinking about buying some electronics if theyre in good deals cuz i saved up my coupons on both accounts.
But to be on safer side, I’ll order only one and record the whole unboxing process so if anything damage arrives, my refund will be safe.

Because some users misused their return policies, even the genuine buyers are not getting penalized.
I have stopped buying groceries from Amazon and moved back to offline vendors. Standard prices, peace of mind.

Hey @hana25, i read u r post and all the comments in this post and after reading all the comments, one thing want to tell you that ignore this because amazon or flipkart block accounts for these returns even these r the Genuine returns. Their is no one who cares.

I won’t groceries anymore either. Amazon pay load will be used on next month bill payments.

Damages happen because of mishandling by delivery/transport guys.
It is always better to check the items in front the delivery agent and deny accepting the delivery of damaged items and send them back to source with same delivery guy.
