Amazon not issuing cashback

On 01Feb2020, I placed 7 orders at Amazon for which their 3 different representatives assured me cashback on 3 different days 01/02/03 Feb’20. However, on 05Feb2020 they denied to issue cashback. I have all the proofs of cashback, screenshots, audio communication which I shared with them after that they stopped responding to my emails and tweets. What should I do next?

Yeah, its all clean. I am their prime customer since prime started in India. No cheat nothing; have only one account with them. I don’t know what’s the issue at there end. They have stopped replying my emails and on call they use to apologise and say we won’t be able to issue cashback that all information we can share with you. What should I do in such scenario. I feel cheated :sad:

No, it’s not related to Dream11. I have never used that app. These offer got automatically applied by Amazon against the offers provided like recharge, upi, shopping, etc. No dream 11 role in this.

U could have wait till cb is given for one order now days they r crediting cb instantly or once item is shipped[amazon fresh]..
True, hence I checked with there customer care team on 01/02/03 feb’20. Even after orders are delivered they assured me that I will get cashback for all my order but they didn’t issued
Understood you must have done repeated transaction one after the other without waiting for the cashback of the previous transaction to be credited. So it is displaying the same offer on every order. If I am not wrong you must have received the very first order cashback as of now.
If this is the case forget it they aren’t going to give cashback as the same happened with me. But you can return the items. Even if they aren’t returnable just findout a damaged pic of the item online and show them. and they will have to return. If you have consumed the items please contact consumerportal, but don’t expect much.
Actually I got more than expensed in other accounts. So I kept quiet as already I had balance and other customer accounts were frozen. First thing you should do is take the balance out of all your accounts. Who knows what loophole they find out and deduct your money in the name of violating tnc’s for profit.
If cashback is not processed for first order and if you try to order again it will show same cashback details. So whichever order gets delivered/shipped first you will get cashback on that. Particular order.
Even after process of the cashback of first order Amazon representative assured me for the cashback. Hence I went further with the orders otherwise I would have cancelled them all together

One thing can be done legalise the case and ask them if the you weren’t eligible, the cashback mustn’t have shown on subsequent purchase or if they say its a bug tell them to bear not you.
Done with the first step. FIR lodged. Tomorrow will be visiting my uncle who is a lawyer by profession. Will try to get a notice issued to Amazon

Is it right at amazon part to assure and commit for cashback 3 time on 3 different days. Even after delivery of the order?

Same thing happened with me. First happy , then clueless why not any cashback after showing , CC promised over chat, called 2 hr straight and fought like never ended. Lastly senior manager taken my feedback not to show cashback on 2nd order and also don’t fake promise by CC. Enjoy cheyyi bro! Neither you nor Amazon is wrong only thing is it can only be understood by first experience like new wife.

I guess the OP has good point…I don’t know too much about the scenario here in India but in US you would have won the case (assuming you have all the evidence/transcripts)….What you say @bikidas2060 ?

If it was US then no support executive would have given any assurance either in verbal or written form. System errors are not counted for cases like these unless there is some human support behind them.
Your case won’t have a stand. It will be dismissed before even going to proceeding. Read T&C carefully. You have agreed to all their T&C, the moment you collected the offer.
According to T&C, Amazon is not wrong in showing cashback for all your orders since cashback is not yet processed for a successful transaction. They are legally right in every sense here.
Now coming to customer support assurance, all that they can see is cashback shown on your order page and cashback credited to your Amazon Pay. It might not have been credited when you raised a complaint, hence they assured. When you raise a dispute with CS team, they assign it to Finance team. They cross checked and denied your cashback.
Agree with your point issue is they assured me cashback even after processing of it.

Simple – the offer which he had collected had written x % cb upto xyz amount
Now, tnc clearly say you would get cb only when shipped or delivered that doesn’t mean i can order few orders until cb is not released.
Nxt up – Amazon keeps offering cb upto entire xyz amount is not exhausted. So suppose you have 50% upto 200, and you order for 150, 75 cb eligible for that order, next order you are still eligible for pending 25 cb

Currently prime now for prime customer it is offering 100% cb upto 150 on fruit and vegetables. Schedule order for 24, 25th feb last slot. Now keep ordering lakhs everytime it would show 150 until 150 cb is released .
