MUMBAI, SEPT 28:
Amazon and T-Series have announced a long-term content licensing partnership that will make Prime Video India the exclusive subscription streaming home for T-Series’ upcoming new film releases.

Earlier this week Amazon had tied up with director-producer Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions to stream both new and old titles on Amazon Prime Video. It had also inked an agreement with Mukesh Bhatt-owned Vishesh Films for content.

Films from T-Series which will premiere on Prime Video include titles such as like Tum Bin 2, Noor, Chef, Raabta , Simran, Wajah Tum Ho, Yaariyan 2, Hate Story 4, among others.

These 17 underproduction films of T-Series will first be showcased to subscribers of Prime Video before their television premieres.

“T-Series is one of the leaders in the Indian entertainment industry. As a result of this partnership, Amazon Prime members will soon enjoy a wide variety of some of the best Bollywood movies in the country, all within a few weeks of their theatrical release. We will continue to add more content in the coming months,”said Nitesh Kripalani, Director and Country Head, Amazon Video India.

“T-Series has always worked to stay ahead of the curve in the digital content distribution space and this exclusive alliance for our future under-production films with Amazon is another step in that direction. Subscription services have been well received by the consumers and hold tremendous future potential in India. We hope to see higher traction and growth in this mode of content distribution,” said Bhushan Kumar, CMD, T-Series

E-commerce giant Amazon launched Amazon Prime in July this year. The company is yet to launch its video services for Prime.
