I’ve come across this in one social media page by Zomato and thought of sharing this here. This is indeed a reminder to all of us towards our fellow delivery associates (by such small gestures) who deserves a little empathy from us. We have been saved by many hundreds from them now they want something very little and humane in return.. pls cooperate.

Cheers to humanity! 👍

It’s a major formality since long time , even when there was no Zomato, shopping sites …
Till today’s date , postmans never get back without sharbat/lemon water

Good to know that bro! relaxedMuch appreciated.. 👏

In today’s world even such formalities are anticipated through awarenesses. This should be extended to every visitors so that the brotherhood may exist longer! ✌️

Was ordering a birthday cake from zomato that day. Forgot candles, called up the delivery person and asked him to pick up some from the store. The nice guy obliged. I thanked him with a cold glass of Pepsi and 20 bucks extra

I Didn’t get you !
But why you’re dividing that to government/private … ?
It’s a human , who arrived to your home for we help .
And we just have to offer them a glass of water . Thats it .
Why are you making its complex (are you a science teacher as profession😛) ?

Ya, This Is Already Done By Me. Bolne Ki Kya Baat Hai Iss Mein…Aur Jisko Nhi Krna Hoga Wo Kehne K Baad Bhi Nhi Krega..
So At The What Matters Is Your Behavior Towards Others.
And Yes They Also Mentioned This In Zomato App.

The flipkart guy asked for water and I gave him a bottle.. But deliveries usually here are like 8-9am.. or they leave it at the gate..

Also 50 feet in front of the gate is the government main water tap.. Many people use it to load up on drinking water..

it almost is standard practice (for me and few others)
to check if “any” visitor or worked coming by two-wheeler used helmet or not
and
if not having religious/personal or health (diabetes) reasons, then offer something like kairi (raw mango) liquid, jaljira or non chilled water.

however ConnectIndia (vendor to ATS, Ekart, Jabong) and few others had some SOP asking employees not to accept edibles or enter premises.
noticed that with FedEx too in 2009-2010 era.
something to do with their safety and avoiding risk of packages or cash being taken. (like sedatives in good or physical restraint if entered premises).
at-least three different associates told this, when asked them to “sit” and drink water or come inside to pack/inspect cargo (return).
